Furniture production in Ghana has improved significantly so let’s support our local businesses and buy locally. Well done for making this vlog as it will raise awareness. I will now look at local products made of real wood instead of the overpriced furniture shops selling foreign sawdust products.
Sawdust is right. You don't want to see what happened to the end table I bought from Melcom when a drink was spilled on it. It's just mashed up paper inside.
Why do these furniture shops place finished products on the sand? Why don’t they spend a little money to buy clean stone gravel and then build nice wooden platforms to place the furniture on. The place cheapens the furniture.
I think you have forgotten everything comes with a cost. Should this Carpenter build a fancy Showroom, mind you, it comes with a cost. And these are the same Carpenters or joiners who work on the high street. Most humans place qualify on fancy, it isn’t most of the time always so. I would love to know if the wardrobes or other furniture are Pure thick wood or Plywood. I love my furniture to be Pure Wood.
Looks good as I like buying local. Also like your comment that the finishing is important. My other concern is the type of wood used to construct the furniture. Lets hope it is hard wood like Odum, and not soft wood used. Would love to see more vids like this. Thanks so much.
Noted. You’re welcome ☺️ It’s easy to customise with a local furniture shop so you can always ask them to use the materials you want. Obviously that’s going affect the price.
Thank you for this video because the other ones showing local furniture makers are older as prices do change. I absolutely loved what you showed. I will definitely check this place out when I visit Accra. I am looking to furnish a condo ❤😊😊😊
I sat up straight when the roadside man said 5 thousand 5?? For a roadside bed? And the prices kept going?! MY GOD. Is he crazy? There's no cement or gold in these beds abeg! You yourself went dressed nicely and holding camera! How can you hope to negotiate?! 😂 Ok- the sofas are better value than the beds, especially if yoy have to buy a mattress too. Maybe a divan from Ash foam or latex foam is better value?
Lol 😀 not the gold and cement in the same sentence haha. No I wasn’t buying. Filmed this as an option for the viewers. Some people requested. It’s funny you mentioned Ashfoam - I just filmed a video with them yesterday. That should be up soon.
@@OhhYesAfrica Grateful if you can do a garden furniture report?! 'Shopping around' in Accra is exhausting! I'm interested in Roadside cane furniture and Kitea/Orca! Big furniture sales in the UK at the moment , but I'd rather not ship anything this summer. Id love to see some garden sets. Thanks! 👍🏽
Hey, just to let u know that the man behind this furniture is not honest in his communication-he lacks integrity and very unserious in engaging with customers.. it’s a shame, cos he promised calling so many times, but never did; he wants me to be chasing him around. Crazy
Locals have the good quality stuff i like what i see

Let me invest hard in my shop err. Since people are now appreciating our works. 😂😂😂

I agree, but the cost of building materials are crazy n perhaps they’re there for a short period of time.
