I remember when I ran high school track. You talking gear for you to run and compete with. Is there such a thing. My school could give 2 shits about the track team. We got no funding except for the bus rides. We had a car wash my junior year and that got us some money for clothing but I was still running in "walking" shoes. I was already the brokest kid in my school wearing the same sweatpants everyday. But finally making state my senior year and then coming in last place satisfied me my highschool and life track career. It was good times though, can't lie.
Work Hard and see where that takes you. You might fall in love with more and more places throughout your career. Don't give up on something that you really want.
Millie L-S haha going to Oregon is awesome, great perks but if you're not a top tier athlete you won't be seeing the same attention as those whom have earned it.
I know its late, but stay positive. I ran for a few months my senior year and I'm now a D1 walk on. Anything is possible just keep your mind on the goal! Best of luck
