Great video and narration as always. You certainly have all of your equipment and camp setup down to science, very interesting to watch the Armadillo rooting around in action. I have never seen one in the wild, cute little critter, kind of a throw back to the dinosaur age. Well done and thank you for sharing, can't wait until the next episode. Safe travels .
Well, final episode for this trip, and it’s been great following along.First time for me seeing an Armadillo in action, fascinating creature.Your story telling is wonderful,so easy for me to relate to,thanks again for all you share, and best wishes always 🙂
The content and production quality of this 3-part adventure is beyond superb. W-A-Y BEYOND! 👍❤👍❤ In addition to admiring Summer's super cool hatband (presumably from the Mick Dundee collection), her approach to housework is notably admirable as well. The event at 2:56 is a living example of what the older, seasoned co-workers in my first real job (the summer between high school and college) said every payday: "The eagle shits today." 💲
Spending most of my boating activities on the River Murray in South Australia, I can’t get over the crystal clear water of the river you are on, amazing.
We have been subscribed and watching since our long Covid lockdown periods in Victoria Australia. Loved this series. Fantastic wildlife images. Looking forward to your next adventure and progress with the old Landy.
Thank you for sharing these beautiful adventures! I just recently discovered this channel and thougt "this guy sounds a bit like an OZ..." Then i found the "Western Walkabout" videos. Hours to watch on long evenings. 😊 I'm very much looking forward!
Great to watch another vid, and the first one together with my lad, who is 8 now. I've just booked in a river trip in NZ with Kyle, and he's super looking forward to it after watching this. Hope you guys are well. I;m making a big effort to read my trans diary this year. Finally crossed the border to Namibia and had my first hot shower of 2010 :), in late March. Thanks for all the good memories, even if they are take 10+ years to read about and relive. Phillby
Greetings Phillby. It's been a very long time and a great honour to hear from you. A NZ river trip will be awesome, I remember my wanderings through your homeland quite fondly even though it might have been in the 90's since I was last there. I wouldn't have thought it would take too much effort to read your writings of the trip as a lot happened, I look back on that West Africa section and marvel how we ever made it through.
It's either been a long time since the last episode in this series or I have been missing stuff... Funnily we are on the road and were re-watching some of your earlier videos and I was wondering when a new one was going to drop Hooray, now we have something to watch. Going to save it until tomorrow night.
Friday or Saturday somewhere thereabouts will be a Land Rover video. I've had a few delays, so I've held this film back a bit. It was actually finished over a year ago but as it's meant to be after the Bulkhead rebuild it had to wait.
Glad you liked it! I could see you fitting in quite well on that river with a big foot paddled hobbie kayak and a fishing pole. While the rainbows are 'up top' allegedly there are some big brown trout downstream where the bass were being caught. The brown's have proven to be above my current skill level but time and persistence may change that.
Good adventure Can you please tell me the make of fire pit grill you use on this trip Can you buy somewhere or is it hand made thanking you Keep the good work going
Greetings Stuart. We've been asked about the fire pit before and it seems not to be made anymore. It has no brand or label and knowing Wilms she might have got it as a kick starter or from Estey. We were hoping to get a second one for ours when it gives up the ghost but I think we're all out of luck.
Loved the armadillo, Gav, and the early morning mists.
Fabulous as always ❤
Another wonderful trip with naturalist notes, great photography and story telling. Beautiful country.
