He was working as a research chemist in Lotte BP Chemical; quite good company providing high salary when he auditioned at Phantom Singer 2. As the audition was designed for making a (good-looking) classical crossover quartet like il Divo from Korea, there were bunch of opera singers who majored in classical vocal and well-known musical actors. He was the only office worker who majored in (chemical) engineering in whole participants. But he used to sing as a vocalist in an amateur rock band (the band name was Pitta but it became Pittaband afterwards) in his leisure time. He stole the show singing the Phantom of the Opera duet song by himself. His audition clip has more than 4 millions views now only from Koreans as JTBC didn't release the video for abroad..if it was shown in the TH-cam at that time, he could be known to the world like Paul Potts in Braitain's Got Talent. He wanted to sing from his juvenil days but his parents didn't agree him to go to art school. So his music life started since he joined the rock band in the university. Even after graduation he continued the band and won the Grand-Prix in the labourers' band contest in Busan. His sensational audition song- the Phantom of the Opera was his killer repertoire from that contest. He used to cover Muse so he developed his falsetto that good. (He has very talented voice tho, great singing technique, too.) He said he thought he could quit from the music regretlessly with criticism he would get. But BAAMM! Thanks God he failed to quit from music! He quit from the research chemist job instead. lol He quit his research chemist job 1 year after the debut as Forestella. He would have worries and considering about career and steady salary, stable life but finally chose the life of professional musician. hola Karina, si, hoy me grabé mientras la descubría por si hago video reacción pero no sé si la editaré. me dejó en shok y me quedé mudo. Si consigo salvar el video la subiré. Da mucho problema de copyright y no sé si podré subirla íntegra o en pedazos. Mañana me pondré con ella aunque no sé si finalmente la suba. You should check out Cem Adrian from Turkey. He is even more incredible, his vocal cords are longer than most people's, so he can do voices from bass to male soprano. Check out his Summertime video. That's one helluva performance on many voices :) Not to take away from Hyungho's talent, of course :) Hyungho is also a great singer, more so that he didn't get any formal training.
