Thank YOU JACK AND JORMA FOR BREAKING WITH INVITATION, AS I patiently waited 46 years to hear it again, of course it would never be like 1975 and 1976 , but I AM happy for what it is!! THANK YOU!! LOVE YOU!!!
Thanks for the upload it was essential to capture INVITATION AS they had not played it in 46 years!! I HAVE waited 46 years to hear this song!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Cannot understand why Jorma kept Invitation and other great electric songs out of rotation for so long, but especially Invitation.....such a great jamming song and you know everyone wanted to hear it.
@@danw5785 They did not play INVITATION which is hands down the best jamming TUNA song, as they would have to relearn the song, especially the long extended jams throughout the song!
@@danw5785Invitation is a 6 minute 56 second song, but live it could go anywhere from 17 minutes up to 30 minutes or more! So IT WAS PERFECT for the blow and speed daze, (1975 and 1976) where Jack AND JORMA WERE SPEEDED UP! The song would contain 2 or more extended bass solos and numerous extended guitar lead solos!! The song involves lots of stamina when you take it to extended lengths, and JACK and JORMA WERE not ready for that due to their age and the high energy needed to take the song to extended lengths!!
@@danw5785 TUNA now is nothing like they were in 1975 and 1976 as they were a trillion times better back in the day, and so were all ROCK GROUPS! OLD age and lots of drugs destroyed rock and roll and the audience also who is now old and sit on their ASS the whole show and get up only for the last song
I was waiting for that extended ENDING TO INVITATION, BUT it ended suddenly!! IF YOU remember a trademark of TUNA WAS THEY would extend the ending of songs especially INVITATION AND the ending would go on and on and on! To see INVITATION END ABRUTLY, I was in shock, as I AM USED TO those extended endings , that always happened at the end of INVITATION AND FUNKY # 7!!!
SO wonderful to see this performed live last night after something like 46 (!) years....
