I was also very lucky to fly over Koh Phi Phi twice and capture the island from the air whilst on a flight from Phuket to Kuala Lumpur.

Hey Baz, I've been watching this video and recommending it to my friends for years. It is still one of the best ones I have ever seen. I have been to Thailand 17 times now.
I love Thailand because Thailand is so beautiful. People are friendly and food is awesome. You should come to visit Thailand once in a life time.

Yep your exactly right! I can't believe that when I made this video back in March 2009 you could beat the tourist rush anytime before 10am..... but now unfortunately you need to be there before 7am as by 8am its packed. Problem before 8am though is there's no sun lighting up the bay for good video shots :/

I visit Phi Phi Don some years ago and its a beautyful place, nice people nice beaches and very clear seawater. Tonsai Bay is changed a lot after the 2004 tsunami such a same it realy was paradise but it stil is

Anyone who planning for trip in Phuket and Koh samui, You must carefully check for the touring seasons for the best memory in Thailand.
It's because Phuket and Koh samui was located in difference sea and monsoon, And it's also has a difference seasons too. I don't want you guys disappoint in this paradise.

I don´t know if you are ever going to read this comment, but I had to tell you, in 2016, me and my wife visited this incredible little town that is Phi Phi, and the incredible country of Thailand, and amazing and beautiful place, with shining great people. I have to thank you J.R. Bazil, because this video is in part guilty of that trip....Ever since in a while I watched it again looking forward to have the time to go for the second time. A big hug from Argentina, hope that wherever you are, you´re still doing great things like these!

It's such a majical place, paradise and heaven on Earth. It's a absolutely shame with all those polluting motor boats all over destroying it. Too bad. What a shame, we human just love to destroy what beautiful nature has created for us.

Loved Thailand overall but I went as a single guy...Phi Phi was ok..was there one week, found too many drunken kids, had some awesome dives though. Maya beach was beautiful even in the rain but the washrooms were so filthy I had to take pics...never saw anything like it. Railey was my fav...au nang was nice too. Been to Bali as well with a gf and still prefer Thailand over Bali. Bali has so much garbage everywhere it was shocking to see. Thailand deserves another visit.

I was there in August of 2010. It was very beautiful, but a little crowded. I went searching for solitude, and found it not on the Koh Phi Phi Islands, but on one of the other islands in the Andaman Sea, where I was the only person there (other than the boat operator).
if you want to make nice pictures or films on maya bay, you have to talk to an long tail boat owner for going there atleast at 7.00 in the morning, cause after all tourists arrive there and you cant even see the beach, we came there and only 1 long tail boat was there, we had the whole beach alone for making fotos and stuff, anyway phi phi is full of tourists and the water is allready full of gasoline, i can imagine good how it looks in a few years^^ the nicest thing was bamboo island for sure^^
