Hello!! I made this in less than a week and it's my first animatic ever, so go easy on me. I love these two characters, and I love how expansive Vivziepop's (and all her amazing animators) imagination goes and I just wanted to do something with that. I appreciate Hazbin Hotel very much, it puts me in a happy place :)).
Also!! Important. Aro/ace rep is super cool, especially coming from a series as notable as Hazbin and surrounding a character as important as Al. If it makes any sense, I'd never really want these two to be canon? I just ship these guys for fun, but I'd actually be bummed if Al was put in a relationship in canon. Radiodust is a super fun ship and I love these guys with all my heart, but never something I viewed as canon material. This video is just all fun hypotheticals, and me tying a story together with their character dynamics. While I do stan radiodust, I stan our god-tier aro/ace legend Al more.

We have a Radiodust smooch, people! This is not a drill! Also, I love the idea of Al's shadows pushing him on this because they know him and they want him to be happy.
I like the idea that the his Shadows are actually you know freaking singing to him can we probably do want him to be happy because he's hiding his sadness is by putting a smile on and trying to make everyone else smile but not himself this is so cute but like Al is very, extremely asexual LOL what our strawberry pimp has to find love-
Hannah Banana he can love, be in a relation ship, or be romantic, he just can’t do sexual attraction like angel can do.
It’s funny: normally in fandoms, if there’s ships that I don’t like, I kind of ignore their content. But with Hazbin Hotel, regardless of wether or not I like the ship, I see so much interesting content that took people lots of time! I thought I had to be obsessed with RadioDust to enjoy any RadioDust content, but I’ve seen lots of talented and fun videos ever since I’ve heard of it. Good job!

Also, Viv has ALSO stated she gives no shits about who ships who. She encourages shipping, because she's smart about her creation. I'm sure she knows that if she started lording over it (e.g. Jhonen Vasquez and J.K. Rowling), she'll lose fans and credibility. Allowing fans to have fun with her characters, world, etc, she's saying she appreciates the dedication and love they have. Hell, big name studios, actors, VAs, etc are also aware that fans create art, fics, comics, and more about their characters, stories, movies, series, what-have-you, and they don't care. Stifling creativity is a massive gut punch to human beings in general, because we are creative beings. We love to explore where our imagination takes us and that should never be discouraged.
I'd also like to state the obvious, because it seems I must: fanon does NOT equal canon. We are NOT trying to "replace" canon lore, NOR are we saying "this is how it should be". We know very well that canon stays just that. We are merely doing what I stated in the previous paragraph: allowing our creativity to flow.
We know Al is Ace and we love him for it. I ask that you please read Frodo Waggin's description. She does a great job at explaining everything I just said in her pov.
TL;DR: let shippers ship. It harms no one.

I love love LOVE that it was Al as Meg. It just feels so goddamn correct, even though most (including myself until I saw how well stuff like this works) would pick Angel to be our dear narrator but oh dear LORD. The drawings were cute and simple, the stories were easy to follow, and it all matched up really well with the lyrics. As a passion project for this lovely little ship of ours, I give this a 10/10. I love the fluff, the hurt, the dynamics, the utter fucking tenderness of it all. GAH the ending got me too. I'm holding back tears. This entire ship is not in official character for these two, but for the just-enough fanon characterization these doofuses get? This was so pitch perfect.

While I was watching this animatic, I nearly screamed "I STAN THIS SHIP!!!"
I love this especially Alastor's face at 1:13, it's priceless
I love this animatic for so many reasons. And while I’d love for Alastor and Angel to be together canonically, I know it won’t happen and that’s okay! I love and respect that Alastor is Ace and Aro, and feel like this animatic could have a completely different meaning if they didn’t kiss at the end. I would love if Alastor could love Angel PLATONICALLY as a truly dear friend. They could still do everything in the animatic, as Alastor would learn to love and accept angel as someone he could consider a true dear friend. I’d love to still think that he would be arguing with himself over “loving” Angel because they just seem so unlikely to be friends considering how different their personalities are. I could totally see Al arguing that he doesn’t see Angel as a friend, just a nuisance, but getting embarrassed that he would protect and hang out with Angel as would Angel. And I could totally see Angel truly being in love with Al, but understanding and respecting that having Al’s friendship is the only thing he’d receive, but that it also means so much considering how Al is. I love the idea that Angel would still tease Al about being together, but also knowing and conveying that he knows it won’t happen, and that the friendship they have is truly amazing.
Just my thoughts on the whole thing! I truly love this animatic from the art style, to the layout of the story, to the expressions and emotions it conveys. Really beautiful work!
