There is also a version of this with vocals, called "the dawn will come"
and the scene when going to skyhold where they sing it is just strong
Shadows fall
And hope has fled
Steel your heart
The dawn will come
@@samends8863
The night is long
And the path is dark
Look to the sky
For one day soon
The dawn will come
@@LaMishiMish
The shepherd's lost
And his home is far
Keep to the stars
The dawn will come
Trevor Morris did amazing with this soundtrack. If you enjoyed that, check out these from Dragon Age Inquisition: Trespasser - Dark Solas Theme and Descent - Main Theme.
Those were the exact same 2 themes I thought of!
Yep, Tresspaser has better OST!
omg yes
my fav in trespasser is Qunari Battle suite, sounds like Conan stuff.
The entire soundtrack to inquisition is so underrated. Trevor Morris really put everything he had into the soundtrack.
Wow, I played this game ages ago and dont remember it or its music basically at all, and yet I recognized the melody immediately.
What a weird feeling.
Damn, it's been a while since i played this game and it was a good RPG experience back then. It makes me sad that this franchise feels like abandoned now, it has so much potential
Abandoned? Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is deep in development. They passed the Alpha stage a couple of months ago.
@@EnigmaTimGamingEA just shunted a number of senior Bioware staff; they might get Dreadwolf out the door but beyond that my expectations for that studio's future are pretty low.
@@EnigmaTimGaming I don’t trust BioWare anymore, with the number of staff members with experience and pedigree having left Dread Wolf production, it’s gonna be a disappointment.
The whole Soundtrack is awesome.
In one part of the game where you are in a camp with lots of refugees and it seems like all hope is lost and suddenly someone starts to sing The Dawn will come and one after another joined in. I play games since the 80's and that was the first time I had shivers all over my body and I literally lost some tears.
The Dawn will come is the main melody from the track you heard with vocals and choirs. Awesome!
There are some incredibly brilliant themes in this OST and the DLCs. "The Lost Elf theme" is probably my favourite.
I can't believe it's been 10 years already. Still getting chills hearing this!
One of my Favourite game Theme songs of all time, just felt like sitting on the opening menu listening to this song whenever I started this game.
Man this makes me so nostalgic. My now best friend got me into Dragon Age during Covid and I ripped through the games. They’re definitely worth playing for the story alone, especially if you like Mass Effect and how each game has effects on the sequels etc.
One of my favourite soundtrack. Plus the game dlc soundtrack for Dragon Age Inquisition Trespasser (especially Dark Solas, setting up our next villain's theme song)
Dragon Age Inquisition is a mostly great game held back by a combination of technical issues and certain design choices that were in vogue at the time, particularly with games published by EA (in particular, it was notorious for being horribly optimized, prone to crashing, and with a lot of collectible/side quest bloat that made the game feel padded at times). You probably will not hear a lot of music requests for Dragon Age because its music is very much in the vein of stuff made to set a mood, rather than to be distinctive in its own right. That being said, this theme is spectacular, as is the in-game song that carries the same melody, The Dawn Will Come.
Was looking forward to this one. Didnt play the game much, but this theme was ingrained in my ears for a few years. One of the more powerful moments of the game used a lyrical song, called the dawn will come, that uses the same melody as this theme.
The whole soundtrack is awesome. My personal favourite is from the DLC Trespasser: (well its actually 2 soundtracks but they are essentially 2 pieces of one) "Lost elf" continued by "Dark Solas". The game also has tones of amazing songs made and performed in the style of a bard in a tavern, my favourite of those are "Empress Of Fire" and "Fall of the Magister". And last but not least there is also a phenomenal soundtrack from the first game in the series: "Dragon Age : Origins - Main Theme"... and many more but those pop out to my mind.
One of my favorite RPG, this theme reflect perfectly the epicness of this game.
I can recommend you a couple of music from it:
"In Hushed Whispers" and "Wicked Eyes & Wicked Hearts" both of which possess a very interesting musical progression. And maybe the beautiful "Lost Elfe Theme".
Hell yeah, those are great. BTW thank you for reminding that this game A: existed and B: has a great soundtrack.
Lost Elf Theme is my personal favourite, so good 😭
Ah yes this one. Inquisition was one of my first RPGs and i fell in love with the genre. To this day this music still makes me feel emotional and hyped for the next game or to replay the other games.
I recomend the gray warden's chant.
This game has some bangers, the western approach fits the desert map so well.
I remember the moment I got this game like it was yesterday. I got it for christmas 2014. And before I started playing I was sitting at the menu screen for 30 minutes watching the templars in the background marching to this theme, volume on full blast. It got me immediately hyped, goosebumps and all. It was simply amazing.
Oh man this gave me goosebumps, it's been so long since I played this and forgot that theme.
Jesse listening to Dragon Age music =D Such a fantastic soundtrack! This is my favourite series and I can't wait until Dragon Age: Dreadwolf comes out, hopefully next year? ^^
My favorite franchise of all time coming up on the channel, I'm so happy :o
Thanks for the reaction and insight!
You should listen to The "Lost Elf Theme" / Trespasser from Inquisition. Its so amazing.
I'd also recommend listening to the "Eluvian Battle Suite" from _Dragon Age: Inquisition - Trespasser_ .
a warcrime that only 1 dragon age song was requested. u gotta listen to the dragon age origins theme its too gooddddd
I still listen to the bard music from this game, check those out sometimes.
It does not feel like this game has been out for 9 years now... And still no sequel yet. This is actually the third game in the series, but it ended on a cliffhanger more or less so I've been patiently waiting for the better part of a decade to find out what happens next lol. Great game though, and a great series (well DA2 was kinda meh, but still enjoyable IMO).
Watch Dreadwolf dropping on the tenth year anniversary of Inquisition for cheekiness.
I am amazed someone didn’t ask you to do Lost elf theme from the same game.
As many pointed out Trevor Morris nailed this game and is one of my favorite scores.
And just a fyi it’s literally the main menu theme.
But I suggest you do Lost Elf theme if you haven’t as he took the themes of Dragon Age and really made them special from Inon Zur’s first 2 scores of the first 2 games.
If u want to react to more great music from this game. Listen to the dawn will come track.
I would request more for this game, but it would probably take another 2 years for you to react 😂. This game has some bangers. If you wanna hear offline, check out Solas Theme. It's so epic.
Honestly the dragon age games ALL have fantastic music. The Dawn Will Come is AMAZING. You NEED to listen to the version with vocals
"suspenseful but epic" "an intro movie or maybe as soon as you hit start" you hit the nail on the head! iirc this plays in a few spots and reoccurs as a leitmotif, including a really beautiful vocal rendition sung both by a choir and in-game characters after a major early point called 'the dawn will come', but the most common place you'll hear it is before you hit play. when you're dropped into the starting menu, you see the two major factions in the game marching single file on either side to a tower on the horizon. when you hit start, the tower explodes, the plot's inciting event. definitely feels like a war march and a 'let's go!!' at the same time.
That theme is fabulous, I stayed in main menu to listen that masterpiece!
I actually think hiring an entire choir is decidely not cheap 😂 but I get what you were saying
The original Dragon Age Origins themesong is also a classic
The same melody is everywhere in the soundtrack. I like how they contextualized it in the lore as well. It's from a well known hymn of the dominant church in this particular fantasy world, kinda like the one in Final Fantasy X
"Journey to Skyhold" is essentially an enhancement to this tune with deeper impact due to the story.
aw man, i'm kinda sad that inquisition was the first dragon age song to debut on the channel. origins has some of the best video game tracks i've ever heard, and it's my favorite work from inon zur. hopefully you listen to the main theme of dragon age origins as well!
Damn. If you told me that this was in the Likes of Lord of the Rings, I'd believe you. So grand adventure-y
I see dragon age I click. I love this game so much my fav song has to be journey/return to skyhold. I remember pre-ordering this game. Booting it up for the first time and making my Lavellan. That was a magical time
Enchanter song from Dragon Age Inquisition would be another great song to react to
Dragon Age is my favorite video game series of all time, and Dragon Age: Origins is my favorite game of all time.
Congratulations! You're half right and half wrong. This song is THE Main Menu song, complete with options, new game, load game and such and it's gorgeous. However, you're also right that SOMETHING happens when you hit "new game". I won't spoil though.
Even though I platinumed the game twice and put like 500 hours into the multiplayer, I can't say the music ever really left an impression on me, compared to most RPGs. Still a great game and series for narrative choices and world building.
Please react to any of Dark Deception OST, it’s marvellous 🤩
This is the only request for Dragon Age, really?? Damn, this series has some serious bangers!
Still around, bless.
@@JessesAuditorium Of course!!🔥
Me waiting for request from two years ago: 💀
"Never heard of Dragon Age"
Origins was epic.
II was absolute garbage.
Inquisition was a big improvement over 2 but still not as good as Origins.
