I have just come across your channel and I really love your "following metro lines" videos. There are many videos on particular metro lines on TH-cam but it's hardly ever that people get above the ground to see what's actually around the stations. Very nice!
Thanks very much 🤩 that’s kinda what I thought too when I started doing these, that it’s something I would want to watch myself and that I hadn’t really seen anyone else doing it (maybe there’s some…I don’t know 😝). I’m really glad you enjoyed it & there are definitely plenty more of these to come on the channel 😎
Good on ya nick lad! Love Prague, been there about 6 times as a loan wolf and love exploring the places on the metro, your videos have been very informative and helpful and will save me a lot of time as you know time is very precious when you’re on holiday. Keep up the good work and more videos of Prague would be good, if you get chance you should do some videos of Berlin and it U-Bahn it’s mint man! anyway good luck r kid, over and out Manchester Johnny 👍🏻
Ahh what a nice comment 😎 thanks Johnny! 🤩 Oh yeh time is very precious on holiday, I’m usually running round like a maniac making these 😂 haha. Definitely would like to do some videos on Berlin’s U-Bahn in the future 🚇
Thank you! 😃 I’m normally the type that books flights and buses/trains between cities as early as I can but leave attraction tickets to the last minute 🤣 tbh if you know exactly when you want to go & can book online, that’s probably better for skipping queues and saving time 😎
Hradčanská metro station is usually very bussy n-ot only in peak times - but in summer when all the students are gone and many people have vacation and are gone too - can seem that in bottom times is a bit empty - what is also very surprising to me .... I have a tip for you - for next time try to make video about all small Prague train stations/train stops - many of them have been very nice refeurbished within last years... -and few of them are brand new in the net. Regarding the 4 main ones=big ones: Central train station (Hlavní Nádraží) - renovation of the fasade of historical "Fanta´s building" (Mr. Fanta was the architect of the building) is already completed - inside the left wing will be opened to public now in 09/23, central part refurbished, right wing is on the to list - left underpas was extended to the other side to universirty and newly built office area. First 4 platforms6 renovated, huge historical metal-glass rooof renovated. THIS IS THE LARGEST ART-NUVEAU-STYLE BUILDING IN THE CZECH REPUBLIC Masaryk(ovo) station - both left and right buildings including front hall renovated, side long right wing under renovation - no entry - left ugly ůmodern" wing from 1950´s has been waiting for demolition and extention 2 more tracks - for express trains to the airport, tracks and low platform s wait for renovation since 2024 and new platform ceiling with roof top garden/park. Smíchov - huge projekt for huge rebuilding since 2024 - now inside 1950´s style ... together with building long office building as a HQ for Czech infra - togther with whole area around Holešovice - located in post industrial area in very central part of Prague - whole building covere by granite descs both from inside and outside, renovated tracks and platforms, surrounding looks really ugly - but it used to be even worst - so now its better - new office building have been v%ery slowly developing around and nearby... BUT as i mentioned above - comparing to that go to see small and smaller stations - especially Vysočany, Zahradní město, Eden, Radotín, - open to public in recent 12 moths - they look really good - and many more refurbished or newly built in recent 5 years!
Hey Johnny 👋🏼 thanks for the information about Hradčanská station, yeh I was surprised it was so quiet when I went…I thought that area was pretty cool 😎 Good video ideas 💡 I like it! I definitely need an excuse to come back to Prague and film some more. Anywhere else you’d recommend in Czechia outside Prague? 🤓
@@n1ckburt0n regarding the "small train station" in your vide - its Dejvice station - the station will be digged 1 flooor into underground as a part of the "express" train line from Masaryk(ovo) station via Bubny/Vltavská - Výstaviště (new one) - Dejvice - Veleslavín -(also will be digged down) - Liboc - Ruzyně - dlouhá Míle - to the airport... Double tracked and electrifiied.. with extention to Kladno. several section from both ends already under construction... Between Dejvice and Veleslavín under the hills with very expensive vila areas in Střešovicean*d around will have be digged several kilometres long tunel to avoid the rich villa owners from "noise" (zero noise) and vibrations from planned frequent 10 mins interval of train in both directions from- and to the airport.. Why are you walking most of the time instead exploring the Green Line completely? Even walking from the Royal Gardens to Hrandcanska Station makes no sense at all.

Sounds a like a lot of work! 💪🏼 Great insider info though 😃 thanks!

What doesn’t make sense about Royal Gardens to Hradcanska Station? They’re pretty close together 👀
The thumbnail … I thought you shaved your head lol
