My pleasure! I have worked with colour for a long time. I probably am a little more enthusiastic than most but I love that the company has produced a tool for people to use. Thanks for watching x
Have subscribed , great explanation of the colour wheel. Wish someone could pull it apart and scan them as a pdf. I struggle with colour choices. Can’t understand why SU didn’t make this available online to customers (not digitally) real copy so many people would find a colour wheel happy. Keep going with videos you are good at them
There’s a good possibility that a version of the color wheel wouldn’t “translate” correctly through the everyone’s computer and printer combinations. The result m i g h t be sufficient to give you a formula from which to choose their products, but might not be exact enough to use for mixing and matching with other brands.
@@rachaelmerrick-merrickmaki5782 hello i am à French demonstrator and I can’t go to Rotterdam so I haven’t this wheel. Where do you find the pdf of the wheel on stampin up site? I would like only the back not with the Color.. thanks you…
Stampin up announced to demonstrators they are in the process of having a color wheel manufactured to sell to all of us. It will take a while but should be available to all later this year.
Super explanation of the colour wheel, Rachael. You did a bang up job of it. I like your enthusiasm. I’m a new subscriber and look forward to what you will create using that colour wheel as a guide.
Awww, thanks so much for the encouragement. I'll be sure to add a few combinations to my list for some future lives or videos. Hope you can join along with me :)
Thanks for your kind words, I think something digital makes sense. Maybe someone is clever enough to do that… I’m not THAT tech savvy 😂 I hope you pop back to my channel again soon, Rach x
Thanks so much. I'm a little overwhelmed by the response. I'm hoping the information is helpful to everyone who hasn't got a wheel or even those who needed a help to work it out.
So glad I got to share it with you - its a great tool. I hope you watched my update about the wheel and the offer for my PDF printable. Thanks for watching.
Thanks for watching and saying so, I would love for others to have access to something. I’m waiting to hear from Stampin Up Compliance to see if I can release a PDF. Stay tuned 🤩
Thanks for watching :). Please let me know if you need any more information, its not as complicated as it looks. If you are looking for colour combos and need a hand, I'm happy to help. Its lovely to have someone from all the way in the UK watching xx
There is a wheel in the new catalogue to use. I hope the information I've covered is helpful for using the one in the catalogue. I'm also happy to help out if anyone needs it.
Oh thank you! I've been a teacher almost my whole adult life. Cardmaking is a great creative outlet for stress ;). I'm in SE Qld near Toowoomba, where are you placed?
They just shared they’ll offer one by the end of the year. We did have the color cards.. but when I have a new customer I have them pick their favorite dsp. Show them the matching colors to that paper.. or we talk about what their favorite colors are. What are they making..when I started I sold lots of baby cards.. so those were my shades.. now I have them all.. but I still have my favorite! Thanks for sharing.. I’m in USA.. just out side of Boston, Massachusetts!
Yes I’ll include the news in my update this weekend, so pleased they decided to release something. I do the same with customers and use a dsp to inspire colour choice for purchasing. Thanks for watching xx
You did a fantastic explanation of the color wheel. I have heard those words that group the colors into sections before and was left totally confused. You have cleared that confusion up for me. Thank you for this!
Great video Rachael, you explained it so well. And how amazing would it be to create an app for a digital colour wheel. There is a copy of the colour wheel in the new catty, Stampin Up just needs to have a print out for the inside wheel.
Appreciate you so much, very clear explanations of how this works. Is the "new" Basic Beige listed on this wheel at all? What are the neutrals listed on the back?
I think if enough people ask direct, they would have to consider it. Its worth sandboxing if you are a demonstrator. I hope the information I've given you will help with the one in the catalogue.
Not a question but, there are color wheels everywhere with any paint company. Anybody can go online check a paint company especially in the decorative art field, and they should find information on color wheels
Yes, and this is how I learnt colour theory as a teenager. But people want specific colours for their collection which makes it easier and builds confidence if you are new to it all too. Thanks for watching 🤩
As long as you get the color wheel in the catalog all you need to do is take a piece of paper study what this lady is showing and cut boxes the reveal the same number of color swatches. Then you make a hole or a cut out where the next one is. It would be so simple just to take a screenshot and then make it yourself. Just mounted on a heavy piece of cardboard, puncheon eyelet in the center so you can spin it and you have what you need just like the demonstrators
Thanks, yes, I've created my own for my team by doing just that. I've contacted SU compliance to ask if we are able to do this and release it as a PDF. I think its a great tool but the colour theory rules are easy to apply once you understand ;). The wheel we were given is a great time saver and cheat :D
Phonetical pronunciation of analogous-(not from dictionary, my version . . Uh-nal’ (rhymes with pal meaning friend)-uh-gus (as in the person’s name Gus) I just love learning about color!
I feel your passion for sharing the color wheel. I appreciate your effort and ideas around learning about color SUP colors.
My pleasure! I have worked with colour for a long time. I probably am a little more enthusiastic than most but I love that the company has produced a tool for people to use. Thanks for watching x
Watching the replay in Illinois, USA.😊 Would LOVE TO HAVE a Color Wheel! Let the powers that be know they could sell these!!!!
I know many demonstrators are sandboxing (suggestion box) this idea. Thanks for joining me :)
Thanks do much so helpful. I hope Stampin up makes this available for all
Did you see my update and PDF for download? There is a more recent video explaining it all.

I am running a PDF by Stampin Up, awaiting to hear back from their compliance team.:)

This was fantastic! Thank you so much for taking the time to explain this for us, and for being brave. Good job! 😀👏🏻

Thank you for sharing this color wheel. I’ve heard people talking about it but not seen it.
So glad I got to share it with you - its a great tool. I hope you watched my update about the wheel and the offer for my PDF printable. Thanks for watching.
Fantastic! You did great and I really appreciate the color wheel demonstration - and making it digital? Oh YES! Yes! Yes!
I will make sure I keep on shouting the idea of digital resources like this, maybe someone will listen ;). Thanks for watching x
Thanks for the explanation. You did a great job! It should be made available to all.

I hope you found my other video with my free PDF and the update about availability from Stampin Up! Thanks for watching 🤩
@@rachaelmerrick-merrickmaki5782 just found it today...I am trying to figure out how to do it!

This should be made available to purchase for ALL the STAMPIN up customers!! I am surprised it is only for demonstrators. Not fair in my opinion!
It is not even for all demonstrators! It was only available to those who went to OnStage. We can't get it now
Maybe they will have some to purchase if enough people ask for it?
There is a wheel in the new catalogue to use. I hope the information I've covered is helpful for using the one in the catalogue. I'm also happy to help out if anyone needs it.
Thank you for doing this. It's the first time I could understand what this colour wheel does and how to use it. ❤
So glad it was helpful xx
Thank you. You are appreciated.
You are very welcome
Great explanation on the color wheel. Watching from the USA. Thank You

Great job! I wish we would have had such a good detailed color wheel when I first started!!
It would have been handy for so many of us I agree.

Thanks Tracy - I agree, this is going to be so handy so everyone. I think an online one would be cool, that way it can be updated every year.
Appreciate you so much, very clear explanations of how this works. Is the "new" Basic Beige listed on this wheel at all? What are the neutrals listed on the back?
I will pop a photo of the neutrals up over on my socials if you want to see. But no, its not on there as such. Basic Beige is a neutral though.
I thank you very much!
I wish stamping up would do a color wheel we could purchase. 😢

The outer/main wheel is in the catalog; it's the hex codes are not shareable; they're for demos only.
Thats correct. The wheel in the catalogue is useful isn't it. The inner wheel is a helping hand to know what goes with what. Thanks for watching :)
(( Hey, Kiddo … the pronunciation is an - NAL - o - juss . Btw, thanks for the vid. ))
Thanks for the info!
