Pedro Armendariz was dying of cancer while shooting and committed suicide just after his scenes were shot. Connery had to talk a reluctant Sheybal into playing the part of Kronsteen. The girl fight was real, the two women actually hated each other. FRWL was screened at the White House on Nov. 20, 1963. It was the last film JFK ever saw as he was assassinated in Dallas 2 days later. Ironically, the film contained a scene of a SPECTRE camp for training political assassins.
