it always bothered me that the opening says "no one knows for sure, but i intend to find out". No you dont, it never came up. The user was an accepted fact.
I always thought it was referring to finding out the user's intentions, which also doesn't get explored, but clashes less with what does end up in the show.
@Ninja Named BobI helped animate series 2 & 3 of Reboot. The plot line of finding out why the users inputed games was never going to be explored. As we the viewers are the user and found that it wasn't going to be that interesting as a story as games were inputed for pleasure
The creators didn’t come up with that line - that was one of the writers in LA's doing. The showrunners were unsure about the line, but ABC liked it so it stuck.

He was able to sense this guy entering Mainframe while everyone else was unable to do so. Like an antivirus would do in your computer: notice the bad file while the rest of the system is oblivious to it.
Power Rangers meets VRTroopers gave us The Guardian Code. It was a bad premise all around. No one said we wanted live action... We just need to know how Megabyte is finally defeated.
Here's to hoping we get that fifth season, if not that planned third and final movie that should have become Season 4's true finale. Until that happens, I'll just end things on Season 3.
Damn I was just born when this series ended. But they had it on rerun on ytv for another decade. I remember first watching this series I was disgusted and confused. But as I got older I fell in love with it. I rewatched the entire series when I was 14, and yet I was still mesmerized by the amazing storyline once again. Reboot will always be in my heart.
This is superb work. You did miss one intro/ending speech: Hexadecimal's at the end of the Daemon storyline. It would make a perfect ending to this video. Great job!
So i'm hearing they (Unlimited Media’s Mainframe Studios and Corus Entertainment ) are about to reboot, Reboot, and turn it into Power Rangers with real humans as characters. Amazing...said no one ever. They are about to ruin this legacy of a show.
I'd say it would be almost like another like show, Superhuman Samurai Syber-Squad, starring Matthew Lawrence as a boy who goes into the Digital Doman as the Hero Servo. The Second season replaced Amp with a surfer dude.

I think Identity Crisis (last ep of 1st season) touches upon what actually happens in the games though. I know VERY little about how computers work, but my head canon is something like: = Mainframe inhabitants are somehow a representation of RAM and if they 'fail' to engage in the game, then the PC struggles to work? Their purpose isn't so much to 'beat' the user (I'm sure the User finishes plenty of games), but rather beat/stop the User from running too many programmes, or breaking the game somehow by cheating (which is for some reason damages their PC). The user's malicious either way. = Also, what we see IN the games is a metaphoric representation of that. The 'user' in-game isn't necessarily the avatar interacting with the sprites. The user avatar characters represent the computer using up more RAM?
I loved this show so much! I need this in a remastered 4K format. Just improved graphics, everything else was perfection, and even the visuals were awesome for the time.
I like how the first time we see Matrix, his delivery of “I have no format” is more somber since he’s lost and has spent so long away from everyone other than Andrea and Frisket that he thinks he’ll never make it back, but then after reuniting with Bob and having a whole fleet to get home with he says it a lot more proudly. Even in the intros the dude got the best character development.
I remember watching this on KIDS WB in the 90s and on CARTOON NETWORK and also the NETFLIX version and that catchphrase always stuck with me " they say the player lives outside of the net and uses games for pleasure no one knows for sure BUT I INTEND TO FIND OUT ! RE BOOT!❤
Heard it wasn't that good of a game, but man, the cutscenes for it were really good. Would have even made a nice prequel to the series before Season 4 came along (excluding the multiple bad endings).
This was one of the first ever Television shows to use CGI, as a main animation form. While it may look dated to today’s standards, but this was pretty revolutionary back in the day. Especially when you realise, that Reboot was made two years before Toy Story.
Not many cartoons and their individual seasons then and even now sure can do what Season 3 of ReBoot did when it comes to having multiple different intros.

Hmm, when I saw each ReBoot intro on a certain channel when making this and the other vid, I didn't see the Hexadecimal intro on that channel and didn't know it existed.
I'm pretty disappointed with the most recent intros. The music is so radically different. Then again, I didn't have that years long gap between Season 3 and 4 like everyone else did.

Format? I have no Format. I am a renegade lost in the net. For me that is one of the most relatable lines from the show. I grew up on reboot and matrix was a role model of mine. Everyone knows what it's like growing up not know who you are yet. Between Dot, Enzo/Matrix and Bob anyone can find a role model in this show

This just makes me what to watch it again. Season 3 onward slaps. The show never took itself too seriously, but it hit a great balance where many ages can watch and enjoy. It still kills me that the reboot of reboot was so trash. I feel like they could of done so much with new games, the net, hackers… etc, not this live action(wtf)/cgi kiddy bull we got. Some show reboots need to be made for their old demo not trying to grab new ones. I read a Hilary duff interview about how she wanted to make a Lizzie maguire reboot but with Lizzie as an adult with adult issue. Yes that is exactly what it should be and same with other shows.

One of the best cartoons of all time still holds up to this day, and is even better than some of the shows on today.
The season one intro was recorded in a Dennys. Bob's VA was hung over after breaking up wih his girlfriend.
Hmm, it sounds as if it was recorded in a recording booth since there's no background noise attached to it. Interesting.
