Really horrible and sad to see this happening with IR especially in SWR hubli section, they take away diesel link of trains for name sake "electrification" and only first run would be with a WAP 7/4 that too from RPM/ED/LGD (as they can't afford electric locomotives in SWR) and eventually wag9 or wag7 from some far away ahead will be incharge of these trains, and as a result the alredy low speed section of ubl-ypr of 120kmh is further reduced to 90kmh 🙄🙄 And the efficient and high speed diesels of UBL and KJM are left to rot in sheds without use, it's so annoying that train's such as KSK and Janshatabdi which ran at high speeds with diesal link now crawls like a snail because of slow wag9 locomotives It's not even helping to cut any carbon emissions infact is increasing pollution as now for electric locomotives extra coal has to be burnt at thermal stations, and wag9 not being HOG equipped doesn't make a difference for LHB trains as generator has to still be on which anyway is going to consume 10L of diesal every kilometre Everyone sees electrification and asks "when is a diesel train going to get an electric link?" I would rather ask when is railways going to gain common sense and stop making every diesel train run on electric link and let the efficient diesel locomotives do their job I feel as public we should have right to decide weather or not should trains get electric link or not, as we pay the ticket, taxes and travel, it's so inconvenient to be delayed by any train on the route because of wag9 and failure of electric locomotives as they are also so unreliable, hope railways realise how nonsensical their this decision is
