An artistic tribute to Red Vox's tribute to Bowie. Absolutely stunning to say the very least. Everyone has their own interpretations on media and after seeing what you did with Vomit in the Ball Pit I stuck around to see what else you'd create. And needless to say it paided off extremely well. Can't wait to see what you create no matter the wait! - Signed, Your Average Binyot Fan
I have the same interpretation, the loss of a role model. And the idea of grief means nothing to it, and that no matter when they're going their star is bright and glowing. And that a fire still burns when they leave no spark behind. In specific, since this is a song primarily dedicated to famous artist david bowie, he may be the role model in Vinny's eyes, but it can mean anyone to you personally.
The part where the crowd is all trying to pull him down from the sky made me pretty emotional. That part in the song is heavy anyway but you made it better.
I will be honest. I love the animation, but it just doesn’t feel right attached to the song. It has a bit of a dark emotional feel to it. This is a bit more colorful than how I imagine it. I do love how you saw it and visualized it though. Love the work my boyo
Maik is a name I wouldnt say it doesnt fit because its Maik's interpretation of the song through art. Its really good regardless, makes me feel confused and on edge... I like that.
i love this animation and ofc the song as well I've been waiting to see if anyone would do an animation for the another light album and finally something has emerged
i love the way you captured the whole “psychedelic rock” vibe in this animation; everything feels super trippy and surreal, yet there’s also a really clear message. it’s an amazing interpretation of from the stars, and personally it’s one of my favorites this was absolutely incredible to watch!! like my mind was blown away by this video
Really cool to see what other people think of songs like this, especially in the form of animation. Really conveys a message that would be kind of hard to just talk about. Really good stuff man ^_^
dang its a real shame this didnt catch as much traction as it should have. this was honestly was one of my biggest inspirations to start drawing at the time it came out.
this is a good, stylish unique and great (also very long) animation about a song you and I love. You gave a great tone to the song, I'll think about it.
That was really cool! The total aesthetic gives a really nice vibe and the candle people mixed with that artstyle looks really nice. Keep up the good work!
Wow. I just happened to be looking up From the Stars today and I come across this, an animation of one of my favorite songs. I didn't even know this was coming; it's awesome! I've actually thought about what this song would look like animated, so to see it happen is pretty satisfying. The band really needs to see this. Great job.
I think the animation and style of the video goes very well together with song itself. I hope many more people get to see this cause it deserves to be seen, especially with all the time and work you put into making it. Nicely done man. Keep up the good work.
Oh thanks man! What I mean is that I can't do much shading in Flash, but you definitely did and rocked it. I'm guessing you used TV Paint or something?
NeppyNeptune believe it or not all of this video is drawn in photoshop, using individual layers for frames and then exported as .jpg. It's probably not worth it but I wanted to try it out anyways.
I was actually so afraid that you were gonna say photoshop. You should really get an actual animation program, because you have soooo much potential. Don't let a flimsy program hold you back like this fam
NeppyNeptune Well most of the time I also animate in Flash it's just that for this video I realky wanted this certain style so I resorted to this method. And honestly, at this point me and Flash are almost in an abusive relationship where I've grown so numb to it's shortcommings that I just live with them. My previous music video was entirely made in Flash for example.
You guys are way to nice, I know that it might not look like it but I do read all the comments on my videos (mostly because I get less than 3 a week usually) and all of you are immensly motivating and supportive (I also appreciate the criticism)! I know this is a little late and most people probably won't read this comment by now but it's important to me that you guys know that your comments are not lost in a void and make no impact, even if I don't respond to most of them. The reason I don't respond so much is simply because I don't know what to say. I would like to say "thank you" im reply to every single comment but even with slight variations that would eventually just lose it's meaning to me personally. That being said, let me thank all of you (yes you the person reading this right now) for viewing and reading this! In many ways I hate the reason why I created this channel (which I might get into at a later date in a video of it's own), and to a certain extend that is still the same reason that pushes me to create more videos but over the course of the last few years I clearly steered away from creating for others and started creating more for myself. Not to say that I never did that at first but I was definetly creating more for others and not for myself. That question really is what I ask myself about other artist/content creators on the internet and I've grown to dislike a lot of people who seem to creat soley for the entertainment of others and not for their own creative fulfilment. That's probably why (amongst others) I like the Vinesauce crew so much, all of them are playing games they themselves want to play and yes while they sometimes do take recommendations and charity incentives their focus is clearly on their own enjoyment with the pleasure it brings to us as their viewers (and the revenue) as a welcome side product. Regardless I hope you have a good day, Maik
y'know, you might fit in with the discord. there's a whole bunch of creatives over there and if you're looking for somewhere to talk about red vox there's no better place
TL;DR: I used both Flash CS6, Photoshop CS6 and then edited it all in Sony Vegas. Took quite a long time. Hey, Thank you very much! As for your question about how this video was made, I used both photoshop (for the more "high detail" shots) and Flash (for the more animated bits). I edited and animated the photoshop sections all together in Sony Vegas. Using Flash isn't really something I would recommend anymore though, even beck when I made this video there were better alternatives but you know, I'd rather stick with the devil I know I guess. All in all this method did result in a interesting result I think but it was also very time intensive, taking me nearly 6 months to make if I remember correctly.
Oh hey whats up. Cool to hear from you. I've been working on something new on and off again for about 2 years now but my attention is sadly devided between multiple things these days. I will post again for sure but when exactly even I can not tell at this time. I'd like to say that I'm really happy with how you've been doing with your own channel.
Maybe not sue, but TH-cam's policy regarding copyright makes the flagging system easy to abuse, resulting in the video's deletion and the channel being permanently and irreparably damaged with a strike. I sincerely doubt there's even so much as a remote chance of that being an issue in this case but a lot of people like to put such disclaimers on all their videos.

Well, at least I tried.

Absolutely stunning message and animation.

I remember watching this when it first came out,and to this day it still gives me the chills. your strongest, most beautiful work yet.

That was really really cool, I loved the contrasting art style with the present day and black and white flashbacks

this is so smooth and I love it
How did you make this? And with what?
TL;DR: I used both Flash CS6, Photoshop CS6 and then edited it all in Sony Vegas. Took quite a long time.

I just watched your Mark and Jack animation where they play The Forest compared to this. Wow

Has vinny seen the vid?
He did.

Is it even possible to sue this? This is fair use, and if it is possible to sue then theres a failure in the system of whatever country you live in.
Maybe not sue, but TH-cam's policy regarding copyright makes the flagging system easy to abuse, resulting in the video's deletion and the channel being permanently and irreparably damaged with a strike. Oh well theres something wrong with youtubes system. Thats no suprise though haha.
