@@smartdrivetest I've been surprisingly okay. Have been trucking for over a year now, and I love it. Made a little over 100k my first year, compared to the 30k I was making at my electronics job.
I've been driving a couple years now and I've always wondered what the purpose of unlocking the seat forward and backwards was. Coming from amateur racing I've always felt more secure in a solid seat and it took a lot of getting used to going up and down in an air ride seat. But I would always have the forward and rear locked but now I will try it unlocked. Thanks for this tidbit of information.
Hi Turbo Lag - you are most welcome my friend. Yes, it's definitely different with a moving seat and trying to control the machine. And like you said, coming from a racing background - that is going to seem weird. But the bucking and bouncing of the truck is really hard on your back. let us know how it goes my friend. All the best, Cheers Rick
@@smartdrivetest yeah the problem I have with the current seat is there is no damper control to the up and down so on heavy bumps it bottoms out. I never had this issue with some other trucks. Especially the T680 with it's "smart seat" dampening system. Got any tips for controlling the bounce a little more?
I've never had that issue my friend. The only thing I can suggest is put more air in the seat after you sit down. But then on the other hand, the seat may need to be replaced. All the best, Cheers Rick
Hi Paul McAllister - Thank you for your question. Put more air in the seat my friend. If there is anything further we can do, drop us a note. Always happy to help. All the best, Cheers Rick
I find I have to put the seat to the max height in order for it not to bounce but now my seat is fully suspended in the air and I don’t think this is right
As a farmer, the air seat I installed in my tractor has forward-backward and side to side cushioned movement. It is shocking how much nicer this makes the ride. I would never buy another without these features.
Yoooooooo, i was looking for videos that would explain what a little switch that moves left and right do on the front of my shunt seat. God damn, (slaps knee), it unlocks the seat. This is gonna make such a difference since the yard is full of craters. (They were holes, not anymore)

Hi Pierre Fortune - Thank you for your comment and query. There are a couple of ways that you can centre the vehicle. One is to look farther down the road and the vehicle will centre in the lane. Keep in mind that the vehicle--any vehicle--will go where you're looking. The other technique that you can use now and again is to check to see that the centre of the hood is on the fog line. @@potatopotato8360 I don't know how comfortable American trucks are, but European trucks are very comfortable. They have cab suspension and suspension seats.
