You had me at Dark and Gloomy!! I was considering this College because of it’s Computer Science department but Now hearing how it gets Weather like, This is going on my top choices for sure!!
Hey!....even I am considering to get in to this college after 2 years for my 3rd and 4th year B.Sc degree in CS as well....It would be a great pleasure if you could be in touch because I belong to a completly diff place and I don't know anything about CSU or any other american university for that matter ....I would like to discuss all the factors like cutoffs, fees, everything so if you are okay with it here's my ig-- @ssayali__ it would mean alot thankyou😄
I loved it, is it hard for transfer students to get a promontory room? It’s my dream, I would love to live here but I want to know what are the chances I end up here:) thank you
Nimsy Guthy hey! I would call housing at CSUMB and ask but I’m pretty sure it’s based on a lottery system. I was a transfer student my first year where I lived in the room in this video, and I was able to get a single room in the same building the following school year!
Thank you for the video! I want to know if there are furniture and mattress in this kind of rooms. And I think that the bed sheet have you to bring it, isn't it? Thanks!!
Mª Ángeles Toledano hey! The mattresses are twin xl and the bed frame and mattress are provided, you just bring a mattress pad if you want a bit more comfort
@Stefanie great video !!! thank u so much can I have any professional email of yours as I had a few questions regarding promontory housing as i will be joining as a transfer student for fall 2021
Hi this is one of my top schools but I have a few questions! Im doing my college research lol. How is the weather there usually? Are there a good amount of parties? What kind of food is on campus? Is MB a walkable city? How are the dorms?
Weather is overcast like 75% of the school year I’d say Parties happen mostly on east campus or are thrown by some of the fraternities off campus. Food is honestly pretty good and there’s lots of variety MB is not walkable by any means, if you don’t have a car, public transport around the university is actually really reliable and is primarily used by students (esp to like the dunes to target and stuff). Having a bike or just walking is pretty easy if you live on campus Promontory is the newest and best (imo) dorm but is only for upperclassmen and international students- freshman dorms are fine, best thing about them is how close you are to everything on campus and the housing communities are really great. It’s three people to a room in those though and it can be a little crowded- it’s honestly a part of the freshman experience though lol. Strawberry are not the most glamorous but they do have single room options and you’re really close to campus but with a kitchen and all the things you need that freshman dorms don’t have.
What’s your dorm campus? North quad or promontory? I have some question😂 1. What do you think of single room? I’m a exchange student so i want to make friends. But i heard that even though it is single room, the unit type is 6-suite. I think it won’t be a big deal even i use single room. I want your advice thank you. 2. I heard that promontory is noisy bcs of many parties.. is that real?
MishMashGamingde Lps Yes! Many international students live in promontory housing! I would double check with the folks in International Education and express your interest in this residence!
Ashanti Robinson yes! The white furniture you see in the video is my own but all of the dark wood and grey furniture is housing’s! Bed frame, nightstand, sofa, dining chairs, etc.
CheyenneCityLights Hi! This is room 215B in building B, this is the same room and apartment that are in the CSUMB Housing video from when everything was empty and under construction if that helps!

I spent the summer of 1971 there. It was the coldest winter I ever experienced
How is the noise level at night and weekends? Last thing I want is late night noise

how much is/was it for the apartment?
Hey, thanks for the video!
Do you maybe know if exchange students from abroad are eligible for promotory housing?
MishMashGamingde Lps Yes! Many international students live in promontory housing! I would double check with the folks in International Education and express your interest in this residence!
These rooms come furnished?
Ashanti Robinson yes! The white furniture you see in the video is my own but all of the dark wood and grey furniture is housing’s! Bed frame, nightstand, sofa, dining chairs, etc.
Can you make one for a single occupancy room?
Samantha khurana hi! This is actually a single occupancy room, there are no one bedroom apartments unless you are an RA with a studio
Did you have bedroom A or B?
B ☺️
Thank you! What size bed did you have?
@@jasminevillalobos7230 it’s a twin xl!
Is this available to freshmen students?
Saif Allam no, promontory is only available to sophomore-senior students
Thanks
What room number is this in prom B?
CheyenneCityLights Hi! This is room 215B in building B, this is the same room and apartment that are in the CSUMB Housing video from when everything was empty and under construction if that helps!
Stefanie Menera thank you! I’m in room 315 so I was curious
