    Fascinating. I can't believe what I was oblivious to when I was into this stuff as a kid.

    Very interesting mate! Cool how you showed the difference in revs the timing made. :-)

    Just adjusted and cleaned my 02H to highest setting thanks to you😀
    I never knew you could adjust the motor. Will really move my Fox now on a 2s Lipo.

      Be careful running too much timing advance. The motor will run much hotter if you run high timing advance in a vehicle that doesn't allow the motor to run at top speed most of the time.

    Ran one of these and mix of Palmer/Reedy's ones when racing with my pre TRF Avante/Egress/Astute back in the day, great motors!

    Hi great show Glenn
    Does the dynatech come with bearings as standard or does it have bushings ?

    My magnets came loose and the rotor is little scuffed, the magnets have heavier scuffs, i still have replacement rotor for it, even the upgraded one; if i glue them , will it still work ok even with the markings on the magnets? thanks in advance and stay safe.

    Hi mate!! Do you happen to know where it can score replacement springs for these? I have this motor but it only has 1 spring on it

    Nice video but i might have picked up on a problem....you may have the timing maxed out in the wrong direction! I think you might have had the motor running backwards in your video. For those that may not know, timing increases when you move the endbell in the oposite direction of motor rotation. Running it the way you have it timed may cause annincrease in current but probably a drop in rpm. Running them timed to the max the right way around does increase rpm at the expense of runtime, brush and comm life. The extra arcing withnincreased timing will quicken wear.

      TAMIYA Legends Thanks. I was testing mine out just like you did and i could only hear a slight difference so i want to make sure. Thanks again.

    • @deusexaethera
      @deusexaethera 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      RC cars are usually geared so the motor rotates clockwise when you're looking at the endbell. If you turn the brushes counterclockwise, you advance the timing because the brushes contact each comm pad sooner, making the motor faster. However, it also makes the motor run hotter, especially if the motor can't rev-up to top speed very often.

    • @deusexaethera

      Nobody makes brushes for this motor anymore. If you can find them at full price, it's still a bargain.

    I finally like the fact i have three or four o2h, one in my new built legends ive aquired with somegrwn up cash, the egress 89 model, shrinked too!!!!!!!!!!!! lucky find for 1500 dollars. Now it has the tamiya adspec radiosystem with the 100'amps' cpr unit. Ad the nicest o2h motors of my four motor bunch inspected with flaslight. The worst one jus needes to be cleaned out properly. The best one has copper tone to the comm still. I only have 1 extra trf tuned, for my motor-testing(motor testing car, the egress black)next is a poor looking trf tuned wil service it if i feel its needed. Then its acto power super touring, and the dyna run needed somthing newfor people to buy a better ttf tuned nib, thatg and the dynatech 02h, i'll check now. for it to have a chance. to show itself shine. i have it in my fav car the evolution 92 also like 'the egress', just becuse it feels good in the hand.the dyna run has a shorter anchor/rotor, and a small fan instead......................=) love new and even more nib good old motors, and speed controllers in any collor, some can say hello, but nothing brushless here.

      Latest on the way in is the acto power pink 2wd, to have in my dyna storm, and novak cyclone shrinked for my nib motor and esc collection Been collecting novaks lately. Som of the best nib , and nib dually on the way, from novak again. Looking for a novak racer ex forever now, grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr=)

    You said clean and rebuild. It's naot a rebuild if the brushes are naot replaced.

    • @deusexaethera
      @deusexaethera 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Rebuild means taking something apart, replacing any parts that _need_ to be replaced, and putting it back together. There is no requirement that certain parts _must_ be replaced before you can call it a rebuild.
