Hi Ian. I just discovered this trailer today. Man, there aren't many small trailers available. My wife and I are looking for something simple to get us off of the ground now that we are collecting CPP. To pull behind a small car. We like to travel light, we have all sorts of good gear already, With the various "rooms" this is quite the setup. How well does the tent breath, particularly when the air is chilly. My experience with crappy tents is that you can get all sorts of condensation building up on the inside.
Not that I would consider this a crappy tent but the canvas is not thin enough to breathe (2017 model) and I do use a fan to circulate the air when I can't leave the windows open. I've camped with the temperatures down to -15C (with heaters/fans) and haven't had a condensation problem but I was by myself.
It is fine. The cases are 5 cm+ lower than the top of the tub (white line around the interior) and are away from the wall as not to interfere with the support poles when folding.
Thanks for that setup video. How much does the trailer weigh with all your stuff including the add room and the awning? I also have a new generation Goldwing and I'm concerned about total weight.
I think it was just under the 300 Kg, 250 ~ 275ish. My main concern for the Goldwing was not exceeding the trailer hitch capacity (tongue weight) which is 27 Kg.
What would your tongue weight be with all that stuff, do you have the spare wheel under the trailer? Where is it placed? I'm having difficulty getting the tongue weight down and I've got nothing inside the trailer😎😎
Tongue weight is in the 10% ~ 15% range of the trailer. No I do not have a spare tire. I use a cooler located behind the axle to adjust tongue weight. Tongue too heavy add water, tongue too light remove water.
