      it will also depend on the size of venue and how many people. they should do fine by themselves of up to 100 people. if you are using as a monitor, it will work. if you are using as mains, I'm thinking it will work. I use them for mains for DJng and they work great so i'm guessing they will work fine for keyboard.

    • @djjoelvelasco

      With 18" subs, about 200-300 people easy.

      Joel Velasco
      in a hall i guess. Can i reach the same number in outdoors?

    • @djjoelvelasco
      @djjoelvelasco  10 ปีที่แล้ว

      César Duarte Espinoza I've used the speakers oitdoor without subs for a party of 120 people and they sounded great. They should be okay for an outdoor party of up to 300 people.

      César Duarte Espinoza Thanks brotha! I didn't specify but with subs, you should be fine for party outdoors of 300 people.

    Good review, I've got a pair of 12" and a single ZXA1 Sub. I love them so far, and am planning to add a few more 12P tops, and possibly a second ZXA1 Sub. The next level of PA expansion, I'm planning on EV ETX speakers, 12" tops and 15" subs, may consider the 18" subs. This would give me monitors/fills, as well as nice FOH speakers. Your thoughts would be most welcomed. My short term goal is to handle 150-200 people in medium sized venues, long term goal of 500 folks in larger halls/gyms, and also outdoors. I'm thinking 4 of the 15" subs eventually. Again, your thoughts would be most appreciated. Thanks for the video.

      Isaiah Furrow, 2-ZLX12p's and 2-ZXA Subs should be plenty for up to 200 people. I currently use the ZLX15p's for parties up to 100 people. For a little larger parties of 150-200 people, I add a pair Alto Professional 15" Powered Subs. I bought the Alto's just to add a little punch. Got them used from Craigslist for $600 so couldn't pass it up plus I didn't have to spend over $1500 for a pair of Yamaha DXS15's. I haven't checked out the ETX's but I hear they are very heavy. I never considered them because of the weight since I'm a one man DJ company. What I do have for large events are 4-QSC K10's and 2-KW 181 Subs for 400 people or more. They sound great! I since sold my Yamaha DSR112's to go the K10 route. So far, it's been very helpful and easy on my back. If you do get 4 pairs of 15" subs, make sure to get the same model so you can set them next to each other to get the coupling effect. That's what I do with the Alto's and the QSC's when I'm using them. Adds extra db to your bottom end. Why don't you get two 18" subs instead? Hope this info helps & good luck!

      Joel Velasco Thanks for the reply bro... I've got one ZXA1 Sub already, and am torn between adding a second one or just "going big"... How would you compare one ZXA1 Sub vs. two of them? Any chance you could shoot a video real quick, and just turn the level all the way down on one of them, then add it back in after a bit? Anything to help me sort out how much difference a second ZXA1 Sub would make, I'm in a rural area, a county without a stoplight. Not much opportunity to hit up a GC store or something like that.... thanks again for the reply.

      Isaiah Furrow, unfortunately I don't have a pair of ZXA's. I only have the 15" Alto's & KW181's. If you can live without getting the second ZXA, I suggest to save your money and get a pair of 18s for your large gigs. For smaller gigs up to 200 people, you can use the 12s with one KW181. Just a thought.

      Joel Velasco Sorry bro, I was conversing with 3 people about speakers yesterday and got you confused with another fellow that had posted a video with 2 ZXA1 subs in the video..... don't know why I thought that was you...LOL Now I have to find out who that was again so I can ask them for a 1 vs 2 comparison. Thanks again for the info. I may just take my sub with me to GC and have them demo one vs 2 .... I'm torn, as having two of the small subs would be nice, backup and flexibility and all, but if it's not going to be as good as a single larger sub I may have to just save up for the first of the ETX subs I have in my plans. My long term goal is 5x ZLX12P for monitors/fills, and 2 12" ETX tops, along with an eventual 4x ETX 15SP subs , with the ETX speakers being FOH. I want to eventually be able to handle up to 500 people in larger venues or outdoors. Thanks again for your input.....

      Joel Velasco Hey Bro don't ever take the lesser then approach when explaining your gear especially when its something as nice as your Alto speakers. One of the best bang per buck speakers on the market today and by far more rugged then those EV's. I'm not suggesting they're better, just a great overall gig speaker. One love bro. DJ Malarky out.

      Bass sounds good for party up to 100 people. More than that I recommended adding sub(s).

      Gxldxn Yes this should work well for up to 100 people but anymore than that I recommend adding a small sub.

    A friend of mine bought these speakers. One was burned in one of the first events that were used, and the company sent for repair.
    When using these speakers, about half of the power, the amplifier (the back of the speaker) is very hot and impossible to touch, indicating that these speakers will not last long, because the components will be destroyed from the heat, indicating a very poor design!
