I have travelled all over the world and nothing beats Europe when it comes to beautiful architecture and nature, history, different cultures, great infrastructure and hotels, BEST food! Love it.
this is MY DREAM! I seriously admire you so much for doing this. questions: 1. how much would your suggest saving before going? 2. what shoes did you bring? 3. how much clothing did you bring?
I just wanted to say that I traveled everywhere during the summer w nike Air Force 1s bc they basically can be styled with anything, even to be worn when clubbing.
Did the same thing with my Air Force 1. Wore them for cycling, trekking, hiking, running, and everyday walking in Italy, The Netherlands, Switzerland, France, and Germany.
I am currently in Lugano and I'm completely in love. I'm a New Yorker who also spent his childhood in Geneva Switzerland, I thought I knew this country but Ticino generally is INCREDIBLE. I feel like your stay was too short because there's A LOT to do. There's SO MUCH HISTORY, amazing food, incredible mountains and valleys, and so many activities like Canyoning, biking through the surrounding municipalities like Bellinzona, para gliding, bungee jumping...They have a bunch of festivals and other cultural activities. Just the architecture is fascinating. Give it another try!
Solo traveling is something that I've never really considered doing myself, and even if I did I saw it as too scary. But seeing you on this trip has made me think I can, and actually consider going solo traveling in the future. So thank you for showing that things don't always have to be scary and you can enjoy them even so!
Hi Elena! I do have a few questions: 1: How and where do you exchange money for each country? 2: Where do you stay? 3: Tips on language language barriers 4: What do you eat? Or what cheap options are there? 5: What's in your backpack? 6: How do you know where to go and how to get there when exploring? Lot's of love!! ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
For the Tipps-Video: How much Money so you spend/need for everything? How and when you Organize where you sleep and eat and what you want to see? Where do you have your belongings, Like Money, Passport,...? 😊
I didn't start traveling alone until I was 18/19 because I honestly don't think I was ready at that age and my parents would have notttt been down 😅 But it's never too early to start saving and planning out future travels too!
Calista Renee I don’t think you should travel completely alone at that age. However you could do a trip by yourself but through an organisation like au pair. So you’re by yourself but in a family and there is an organization that takes care of you.
I did a school exchange when i was 16. That way you can choose a country to live in for a few months and stay with a family. Its a great way to experience another culture and learn a new language. You can also have an exchange student come and stay with you for some time and then live with them in their home country. :)
Travelling completly alone might not be the best idea for you right now, but maybe try going on a short trip only with a friend? I'm also 16 and me and my friend went to berlin together this summer, which was absolutely amazing. Try picking a city that is not super far away from your home and start planning it a little bit, to convince your parents. After all they are probably judt concerned about your safety😅
omg I'm nearly 17 and we have exactly the same idea. I tried to convince my parents to let me go travelling with one of my friends next summer to Europe (i'm Chinese FYI). I just can't stop imagining myself walking on the streets in different countries every single second. Good luck and lots of love from China :))
I really enjoy your Vlog especially your travel blogs because it’s so amazing to see all the sites and it’s really nice to see someone who actually gives good and reliable tips for people who want to travel some day
I’m a big fan Elena and I keep rewatching these videos of yours to prepare myself to travel solo!! Totally don’t know what I’m doing or how to get around but thanks for being an amazing inspiration 🤍
I actually spent a few good months in 2016 being an Erasmus student in Lugano and I went solo backpacking in Luzern as well as Milano. This video made me jump around like a dog while giving me tears. Too bad you weren't able to make a small detour to Locarno on your way from Luzern. There is an island in the lake there and an abbey on the top of the hill that are really worth anyone's time.
Hey Elena! Love your videos!! I would love to hear about your overall experiences, but also like how you saved up for it/were able to do it on a budget/tips and tricks, as wells as the upsides and downsides of the places you stayed at as well as hostels and such.
Elena! I find your content so refreshing. I love the fact that you are a major history nerd! I'm doing a solo trip to Spain in a couple days and you've inspired me to learn more about the history of Barcelona and it's statues/monuments. I'm so excited!
thank you very much for the interest in our history❤️ lots of people just because we didn’t had “big wars” don’t consider Switzerland as a country with interesting stories to tell... Kisses from the italian part of Switzerland ☺️
Omg. I love to travel and I rlly want to travel a lot when I'm older. I used to be terrified of the idea of backpacking alone but this video makes me so excited for the idea of just being on ur own schedule and being kind of "self centered". ❤️❤️
So great to see you getting out in the world on your own. I found this really inspiring! How much money would you recommend you take on this type of trip?
These travel videos of yours kinda makes us wanna get off our ass and just do it. I do have a few questions though... like how do manage the money part while traveling and upto how much do I have to atleast saveup. Tips for someone who's never been so far out alone( aka ME) what to pack etc. I hope I am making sense. Love from India Elena!
Hi ..solo travell is awesome...we can go anywhere as we want. Switzerland has a lot of coolest places to visit... They re such as lauterbraunen.. grindelwald..etc..
Thank you for sharing Switzerland. It has been on my bucket list for 10 yrs. unfortunately I am very ill and will not be able to ever experience it. Your trip made me feel like I was traveling along side of you. So grateful for the experience Bless you in your travels. Keep on doing you 👍❤️🇺🇸
I so wish I could travel like this. I have a chronic illness that can make traveling an absolute nightmare so even if I do get the money to do it, I don’t think it would be worth it for me to even go. I love watching your videos though even though they make me a little sad knowing that I probably won’t ever get to experience these things myself. Videos like this give me just a little taste ❤️
Nice! Guys there's another bridge very near to the Chapel bridge in Lucerne the Spreuerbrücke , in many ways more interesting than the Chapel bridge and the Bourbaki panorama is also wonderful!
i'd love to see more info/a separate video of what you packed for a solo backpacking trip like this- what toiletries and how much clothing for how long you were exploring!! i'm very curious abt the logistics of traveling alone, also did you stay in air bnb, hotels, hostels, or a mix?
I’ve just recently started watching your videos and I have to say that the quality and editing is some of the best that I’ve come across on TH-cam! I really enjoy watching your travel vlogs especially! Keep it up Elena!
Lu anmo I can‘t speak for her, but I can say that in most European countries you feel very safe as a woman walking around alone also at night. I live in Europe and that‘s just my experience😊 Hope I could help you a bit
Im Swiss: You can walk around naked, 4am in the worst swiss neighbourhood and nothing would ever happen to u other than some drunk guy looking for a shirt to help u out with.
I love History as well! I don’t think any of my friends love history, but I don’t really care. There are times when I feel like I’m the grandma of the group, but there’s just something about History that makes me feel very interested in it
So amazing how you planned your solo backpacking trip! Would be interesting to see a video showing how you planned it all or any tips or ticks for backpackers X
Hi Elena!! Next time you should come to Spain!!! You have to visit the north and the south of Spain because cities like Sevilla, Granada or Bilbao are so beautiful!! Kisses from Spain 😘😘
I'm from southern germany and been to switzerland and italy A LOT due to that. But still it all seems so beautiful to me! Go visit the Lake of Constance Elena! The northern/german shore is really worth a visit! xo
Girl, you're living the solo travelling teen life. So exciting and inspiring! Planning my trip next year.. Really looking forward to it. Italy will have to be left for another time though.

hey elena! for your advice vid, i was wondering how you pack your bag?? like what do you bring?? (because you mentioned that all you carry is in your bag, so i was wondering how you manage to narrow down what you need, etc.)
Pretty sure I saw somewhere that you’re filming a what I packed for backpacking Europe and I’m so pumped for it. We need to know how you fit it all in your Osprey and all the deets of where things are from cause girl your travel style is killing it!!!!❤️
I'm curious as to how you prepared for the trip! How much money do you need, how did you decipher how much money to bring? How did you choose what spots you wanted to hit? Also, what backpack are you using!
Ugh, Milan in August? There's a reason why many residents leave the city during that month. It often gets unbearably hot (40°C /104°F are not a rare occurence in the city center). I've been to many Italian cities (Milan, Venice, Florence, Rome, Genua...) and unless you're very heat tolerant, don't do it in August ;D
In Switzerland there is no worry for that at all but in Milan mostly just be alert and keep a close eye on your belongings (like many other places). :)
Hi, I am curious about how you planned to get from place to place while still trying to save the most money you could? for instance, Paris to Interlaken? I know that was quite the journey! I am currently looking into that journey as well and wanted to ask for some advice! Also, did you use a eurail pass for your trip? Thank you!!
i love your videos and little adventures! are you working at all and how do you balance that with travel? best travel experience in europe? do a q and a!
Hi there! Watching your video inspired me to begin planning a month trip to Italy one day! I wanted to know how much I should save for a solo trip to Europe? And how well is the security?
I would LOVE to see your travel itinerary !!!!!!! I want to plan a trip to Switzerland and would love to see where you went because it looks stunning :-)
My dream is to travel the world, so I was in awe when watching your vids! My question is about how much money one should expect to spend when traveling solo? And what money-saving tips do you suggest? Thank you!

I’m 16 and I want to travel so badly do you have any advice on traveling long alone at a young age and how to convince your parents?

Chronicle of a Death Foretold is sooo good!!
What are your tips on dealing with language barriers while traveling to new countries?
Mary Lahr almost everyone speaks English nowadays
@@pickledOnionGal actually there are places that some people would tell you if you ask something,no English,no English.
It depends where you're going - a lot of Europeans speak at least two languages, one being English
So happy that you enjoyed your time in Switzerland and especially in my City! LUGANO! Great great channel by the way!😊
Absolutely loving your videos darling , I'm taking my Harley round Europe and using your videos as reference points as places to visit, you're a fantastic vlogger! X

I’m from Malaysia, Elena I’m inlove with you 💕 such a brave & inspired every girls out there. Keep it up 😍
I would’ve loved to see what and how you packed your backpack!
How did you protect yourself from pic pocketers/thieves who typically go after tourist?
Marina LaPuzza honestly try to not have a backpack on your back in crowds because it’s so easy to open.
Thank you!!
Yes, I used the swiss rail and did a lotttt of planning before to find the cheapest options !
You inspire me to travel and live my life to the fullest ilysm💛💛
