Just came up on my timeline. Grew up much of my childhood in Burnsville, but that was a long time ago. Great seeing how it’s changed sone snd grown over the years. Thinking of them now with everyone they are going through after Helene
@@TimothyFrench thank you too for the videos. I still have family in yancey county thankfully all were safe .. I’m going to check out some of the sc videos too, I’ve lived there too lol
Timothy, this was a very enjoyable video of the beautiful, serene, clean, and spectacular town of Burnsville, NC! That place is awesome, and, yes, it has been placed on my bucket list to visit! Wow!
I’m planning on it but still not sure when. Both states are awesome. I will be filming the towns of North Carolina’s coastal plain this winter and Spring so I might hit up Virginia first.
I have a unique sort of request that I feel only you can do. You may understand why I'm asking once you read the question. Can you visit the " sundown," towns and maybe even ask around about it and why it's a sundown town. Thanks.
North Carolina had two entire counties, Mitchell and Madison. And three towns that were sundown towns, Carrboro, Pinebluff, and Southern Pines. None of these are sundown towns today. I have videos of the three towns mentioned, plus the town of Marshall in Madison County and Bakersville in Mitchell. I will link to them below. The Bakersville video will be published in the morning. I would bet many people today don’t even realize they’re living in a town that was once called a sundowner. Pinebluff I'm visiting every town in NC - Pinebluff, North Carolina th-cam.com/video/Vu__5B1Pm34/w-d-xo.html Southern Pines I'm visiting every town in NC - Southern Pines, North Carolina th-cam.com/video/jOztAajUYdE/w-d-xo.html Carrboro I'm visiting every town in NC - Carrboro, North Carolina th-cam.com/video/K73gP_kE73E/w-d-xo.html Marshall I'm visiting every town in NC - Marshall, North Carolina th-cam.com/video/iO-AvCHikQk/w-d-xo.html

Those murals seem to be popular again. Mt Pleasanr NC now has 2 painted in the last few years.

Burnsville seems to have it going on. Nice town and nice work Timothy. Thanks for the tour.
It is nice. Can’t wait to see the finished hotel.
The theater has been condemned. Sadly, I don't think it will reopen.
That’s a shame. I love the old theaters. 🙁
@@TimothyFrench It was up and running until around 4-5 years ago.
Can you do A Virtual visit of Bahama NC and Rougemont NC?
