@@Madillusionist The old model received an update in the past where you can use usb-c too. But i believe the new one will be better in terms of data transfer.
- Four scan settings to capture data in 7, 13, 30 or 75 seconds at 680,000 points per second - Rich, high dynamic range (HDR) images with 5-level HDR - 5 times faster than the BLK360 G1, taking 20 seconds for a full-dome scan with spherical images - Visual Inertial System (VIS) automatically pre-registers scans in the field - High-speed data transfer via USB-C and WiFi
Me too. I want a trade in for my BLK360 and also a trade in for my old prism pole for the new Autopole. Soon I'll be competing against people quoting for jobs with all the new equipment. Not good. I've only had the BLK360 for 2 years.
@@anivegmin Yes. I got my used BLK360 for a few month now, did many nice jobs in that short amount of time but i wish someone told me before that there will be this new improved version. PS: I am also a small business owner.
@@onethe2000 If it really is 4x faster at scanning, has better HDR images, auto-registers scans, fast USB download of registered scans. That will save a lot of time!
Love this. I've never tried this BLK360 Model, but hope soon I'll get an opportunity to use it 😇
Does it come with a reasonable API and working non-subscription software?
What I heard so far yes and yes. Free app is blk live app. Api is coming ... first we need our units to capture quick some point clouds ;-)
@@scanner2goiOS highly recommended for compatibility
Count us in!
What is the main difference between this and the original version?
Smaller, lighter, faster and more accurate! And the automatic registering!
usb c for data transfer. the old model uses only wifi which was slow and unreliable.

yeah that is a particular pain point for me.
Whats the 3D accuracy? in mm? and distance accuracy @10 @20 @30 meters?
4mm @ 10 meters
Wow. I wish you would offer an trade-in for my old BLK360 😢

It's ok for big companies but for a one-man-band-surveyor like myself I can't be spending 10s of 1000s again after only 2 years.
