[LIVE] Shiny Inkay after 12,802 REs & 11 phases in X/Y [Full odds + shiny Zangoose/Absol/Chatot]

- It’s over, done, finito. My beautiful squid has been obtained. Ever since Inkay was revealed in CoroCoro I knew I absolutely had to have a shiny one. I played through this X game with a normal variant and it was so fun to use. It’s beautiful shiny form is now mine and I couldn’t be happier.
This hunt’s end has been a long, long time coming. For various reasons, I’d always end up not hunting or postponing it for other hunts or games so I’m glad it’s done and dusted. I have a clean slate on the 3DS games as of now so I don’t have to go in to Ultra Sun and Moon with any previous hunts looming over me.

Steve!!!! I'm so glad you finally found it! I have a feeling that Kalos Route 8 is cursed; I did 6 phases for Absol there. Even though it sucks sometimes to have to go through so many phases, I enjoy watching shiny vids like this where you get to see multiple shinies at once! Seeing a long hunt like this end is always motivating to start hunting again; best of luck on your next one
Thank you Matt and yes I agree, multiple shinies in one sitting makes for a fun video. I think that's how I'll continue to do things from now on to be honest unless it's something very unique or native to the region I'm hunting in. Thank you & best of luck to you too.

my friend went for mienfoo and phased 3 times before she got it. that was her first full odds hunt, too...
I'm going for a full odds Mienfoo right now and I'm currently on phase 6. I started a hunt for full odds Mienfoo in gen5 and got it phase 1 under odds. Route 8 is cursed.

@@sunsethourglass4406 well buddy if it makes you feel a little bit better I had a normal Inkay during my first Nuzlocke and the little guy saved me from a lot of tough situations and during my time on Ula Ula island I found a shiny fearow which I still have no idea how I found it I even named it HOW?!?! out of shock

The only shiny I’ve ever had dedication like this on was shiny Hawlucha. I encountered 2 Golett and a yanma in a horde before getting it. Nice capture!

funny story Was hunting in the same place same game for shiny inkay and got it after 11k REs adn to show it off to my friends i did one more encounter and got another one
I'm hunting Mienfoo, and all of my phases have been Inkay. All 3 (so far) of them, in a ROW. This RNG is really breaking me, man.

Hey Sonikks, as someone that never shiny hunted past Generation IV and wouldnt find it uncommon to get one shiny out of 10,000+ encounters in 2-4, even with about 1 in 4000 odds, how is it possible that you can "Full odds" hunt 12 shinies in 12000 encounters when it should actually take about 60000 encounters to find 12?
He didn't hunt 12 shinies in 12k encounters, he got an Inkay after a 12k phase, the other 10 phases took different amounts of encounters.
Damn 11 shinies in 12k? Thats not too bad, considering this is charmless
