Junior 5’10 195 lbs
UCLA CB Darnay Holmes might be the best player in college football people don’t talk about. UCLA might be one of the worst teams in the country, but that never stopped Holmes from locking down receivers. Even as a smaller cornerback, Holmes stood his ground against the likes of N’Keal Harry & JJ Arcega-Whiteside. Out of high school, Holmes got a lot of Adoree’ Jackson comparisons & he’s shown why during his three years in college. He’s a fast ball hawk who is a playmaker in the return game & isn’t afraid to come up and make tackles.

UCLA CB Darnay Holmes was one of the top rated recruits coming out of high school & has had a successful career so far. The Bruins may not have been good, but that hasn’t affected Holmes’ play. He may be smaller than the receivers he covers, but he’s shown that he can defend them well. He’s held his own on the outside, but looks better suited for playing on the inside at the next level.

In all, Gettleman did okay. I like his late round picks. This young man and Coughlin and Williamson. He is building with depth. Baker is done, so next man up. This still have Ballentine and Beal and signed Bradberry. With a bomb a-- pick in McKinney...we are going to be pretty damn damn go in the DB backfield.

Not many people are talking about how good the Giants drafted this year loll. We'll see how things turn out in a few years, but they definitely picked up some players that have legit potential and were definitely overlooked; Xavier McKinney and Darnay Holmes stand out the most.

Thanks to DeAndre Baker there is a shot he could end up starting week one. I can’t stand the idea of rookies starting at DB in the NFL though, at least week one! This year, no preseason games should be a train wreck for each team the first four weeks. I’m not sure if I see him as an inside guy or an outside guy for the Giants. We definitely need an outside guy now! With peppers, McKinney and love in the back, you definitely need someone to go along with Bradbury on the outside, and someone to cover the slot. Ross Cockrell would’ve really helped out big time, being familiar with Bradbury all the last couple years… Giants have all this money, and could not dish out a one-year contract for this guy! SMH. Sometimes Dave is beyond stupid! I understand that we do not want to have someone under a multi year contract, but we have a ton of money that we can utilize for this season! Stupid, stupid, stupid!
With all of this being said, I truly trust Joe judge and secondly love the idea of Jason Garrett fixing this line, getting creative with the plays, and allowing saquon to be the MVP that he is! All I have to say is, imagine saquon running behind the Cowboys line the last couple years?! LOL. Sorry Zeke, it’s not even close! Barkley at times made the line that is/was horrific look decent.
