Hey Joe, happy Halloween! I wanted to tell you that I finally went trick or treating for the first time since 2015! 😃And for the first time by myself. I know I'm 27, but it felt amazing! I've been going through a lot of emotional stuff, so doing this felt great :) I wanted to do something fun and you know, what? I'm so glad I did!
I'm glad Joe saved Shed Scared Sh*tless for Halloween, a scary and silly YTP. At 4:56 the lady is from Ratchet and Clank, I don't know, but Umbra Lumpin adds some R&C sources in his YTPs sometimes. Good reaction Joe and Happy Halloween.
8:30-8:35 he did kill jimmy cricket by smashing his head with a hammer in the original book about him oh and at 2:05 the ending to the same original book was supposed to have Pinocchio hanged but due to the publisher saying otherwise it was changed.
The Ginger bride actually scared me as a kid, but now knowing that it is goofy and that she is voiced by the same person who voices Mabel from Gravity Falls (you should watch it if you haven’t).
I know this is late but this was a great YTP to react to on Halloween! And another hilarious reaction as always! Keep up the great work! Scared Shrekless is what ruined Shrek for me. Not because of the scary nature of this Halloween Special but the fact that it explores stuff from Shrek's past in a horrific and scary manner that really made me think that it was trying to destroy or tarnish what the legacy of the past Shrek movies stood for. That and the Donkey parody of Michael Jackson's Thriller where the zombie dancers are quite literally Shrek's past villains (and deceased loved ones like Frog King Harold) really offended me in a way where I thought that this was how the Shrek brand was going to go out. Shrek's world and story ends with a Halloween zombie apocalypse and I didn't like it. What I'm trying to say is that this was the last time I ever saw of Shrek's world. Shrek being attacked by zombies and demons of people he once loved. The very people he cared about are now the very things he fears and are now the messengers from hell. I was 12 when I saw this and I had my fare share of watching things on the internet that I shouldn't have been watching but none was as traumatizing and full of destruction as watching this Halloween special. I didn't like it not one bit. I guess this was my very first exposure to what you can say is now "nostalgia-based horror." I saw a childhood icon of mine, like Shrek be murdered by zombie versions of his family and friends and now the whole fantasy world of Shrek is now just a shadow of it's former self. The horror game "Swamp Simulator" perfectly describes and depicts where the Shrek franchise is at right now, ruined by the darkest and hellish depths of the internet.
By "exploring stuff from Shrek's past in a horrific and scary manner", are you referring to the whole "Hey, remember that cheerful kingdom, Duloc, from the first movie? It's now a rundown kingdom haunted by the ghost of its very ruler."? That is very unhinged indeed. Especially when it's like the movie is indirectly putting Shrek as the one responsible for all of that since he was the one to kill Farquaad. Although for one, he had that coming for trying to get rid of all fairytale creatures, for two, did the citizens of Duloc willingly decided to do nothing about it? Get a new ruler? To explain my point, in "Shrek: Reekin' Havoc", a game based on "Shrek 4D: The Ghost of Lord Farquaad", Thelonious was crowned the ruler of Duloc since he was his closest minion and Farquaad left no offsprings. But instead in this Halloween special, this is what we got. Also, about the Thriller Halloween special, aside from the past villains and deceased loved ones, I feel like you're taking this way too deep. That and the whole thing turned out to be just a nightmare, if you watched until the end of it. Thirdly, that wasn't how the franchise ended, if it'll cheer you up. There were this TH-cam miniseries afterwards called "New Shrek".

BTW, I once heard a fan theory that if Farquaad actually became king and married Fiona, he was then going to destroy Far Far Away and Duloc would've taken over the whole land. Take that as you will.
