I remember seeing this on TV when I was in high school. This was a scary one indeed! The year was 1981! They killed an innocent man and paid the price for it in a very hideous and frightening way! Horror justice!
I watched this in October 1981 on CBS. This movie game me this chills when I was 17. A classic that stands the test of time. Great Movie to watch around Halloween.
This is a great made for TV movie. Never seen it before, IMDB gives it a 6.7, fairly high rating, not disappointed by checking it out. Thx for the upload V Horror, we need more of this.
This is a phenomenally well thought-out movie with lots of originality, creativity, and outstanding acting and action along with some heartbreaking scenes. I thank you for posting this masterpiece in order to give your hundreds of thousands of viewers the great opportunity to enjoy it.
Charles During was absolutely, positively, brilliant. May he RIP. Passed away 12/24/2012 at age 89. Great actor 2 the end. He will be sorely missed.👍👍👍👍👍
Yes, that's how you know he's a great actor. He played his character and made you hate his guts too. Great movie great acting by everyone miss the 80s 😢
I'll be reviewing this movie in October, it is one of the better made for TV movies I've ever seen Mary Lee (Tonya Crowe) is stellar in this. I usually hate seeing child actors in horror films, but she shines in this. I wish we saw more TV movies of this quality.
This movie was so incredibly disturbing to me as a 6 year old. My 1st realization that seemingly normal people could be true psychopaths under their veneer of normalcy.
You know what is so cool about this film-The Writer ✍️ 📝 of this screenplay literally wrote this script to play in movie theaters 🎭 however do to tv ratings they pushed him to give it too CBS in playing it for Halloween 🎃 night on TV 📺, so he gave it without changing anything in the script, so the film we see here is the actual screenplay that would have been shown in theaters I.E. nothing was hardly edited out ☝️👍🥂🎥
I enjoyed it. Interesting that such a gentle and caring man as Bubba turned out to have a major vengeful streak. That itself is quite the character development or revelation. I've imagined the reverse scenario, a kind of Christian film in which Bubba teaches them certain hard "lessons", intended to purify and reform them. He forgives and goes on to help them. I'm puzzled by the fact these men were hostile toward Bubba. Didn't they know he was mentally challenged? I could picture Bubba being the sort of man the townspeople supported, encouraged, or perhaps pitied. There just seemed nothing even remotely dangerous about him; he was clearly harmless - the last person one would be suspicious about. What made them jump to the conclusion that he had killed the little girl?
Life's rough when you've done wrong, and begin to imagine others are on to you~ "The wicked flee when no man pursueth: but the righteous are bold as a lion." (Proverbs 28:1)
It cracks me up in these movies that while being chased by a huge piece of heavy machinery that cant turn on a dime, the person never veers off the straight path 😂😂😂
Most likely, Bubba, with his newly inherited "Scarecrow Powers", probably would have caused Philby's cell phone to not have any service. Even if that wasn't the case, sure looks like 'ol Philby was in an area that didn't have much in the way of cell service, especially in that grain silo!! 🤣🤣
Vigilantes at nightmarish worst. Poor bubba 😢😢😢 sometimes it's the socalled normal human beings that' are the true monsters vengeance is My sayeth The Lord but in this Case an innocent life was brutally taken and sometimes it's nice to see true justice even in a fictional horror movie
I watched this once when I was kid, didn't shake me but as adult for some reason the hairs behind my neck stood up🫣 Great underrated flick, poor Bubba, he deserved his revenge🔪
Proof that you don't need tons of cheap jump scares and buckets of gore to make an effective horror flick. In fact, both those things are usually a detriment to effective horror because lousy directors will use them _in place_ of setting mood, conveying atmosphere, and building tension. Although, when I rewatched it as an adult, I had to shake my head at how cartoonishly incompetent the DA was. The movie suggests the jury was biased against Bubba and favored the defendants, but a slanted jury seemed almost unnecessary with how bad a job that guy does; he could have appointed Forrest Gump to the prosecution and made a better case for their guilt.

A very underrated movie,a remember watching it when I was younger. It has stood the test of time.
It was made for TV which I suppose is why it didn't get so much attention. Would be worthy of a remake for cinema
Some of my favorite actors who I grew up watching r in this. Most have since passed away. Still enjoy watching this.

I remember this from when I was kid and I liked it then as well. Without this seasoned cast it would have been forgotten. Really well acted and shot .
Especially from the actors who played the villains. All 4 were absolutely brilliant.
Thanks!

Saw this late one night in my early 20's, such a riveting movie!

This won many awards very biblical what comes around goes around

Gives those great Halloween vibes...I remember this as a teenager..great times ❤
I so miss quality made-for-tv movies like this that aren't on lifetime or hallmark.

The mail man wants the little girl. Bubba can be close to her but Otis can’t. That’s why he hates him.
@@Chuckyboy85played brilliantly by the late Larry Drake(Bubba). Sadly he passed away 3/17/2016 at age 67 from a rare form of blood cancer.
This film was so frightening.I liked a lot!!!!!
SAW THIS MOVIE IN 1985 AND IT WAS MESMERIZING!
Great movie, just like the movie jaws it relies on very scary music and your imagination before finally seeing Bubba.
I really love this movie 🤗
no u don't
Old school is cool ❤🎉 mind Browning movie. Paying attention to every minute of the movie..i love it
One of the best and scariest horror movies I've ever seen.
It really is!!!
TRY THE COLLECTION Starring Josh Stewart please. 100 times more scary.
@@SHARKTIC5 thanks, I'll do that

One of The best of horror movies and one of the best for Halloween 🎃🎃🎃🎃😮😮😮😮
Great movie. I remember watching this when it came out. 👍
1981😳
One of my favorites
Kind of surprised this wasn't in theaters.
Sad tale of Bubba and his family all because he was mentally challenged. 😢 Small town folk, small minds.
City folk would have him dumped into a home and put out of the way. Small town folk would come together to help him and his mother.
Loved this when it was on tv back then and love it now!
Saw this as a kid, scared me. Let's try again as a 55 yo
🖤😹
Loved the ending little merrilee got her friend back
Salamat sa movie ❤❤❤
Eyuten kita
Great movie. Really creeps you out, especially as a kid.
It cracks me up in these movies that while being chased by a huge piece of heavy machinery that cant turn on a dime, the person never veers off the straight path 😂😂😂
It was a spirit controlling the tractor. Even if he turned off veers off it would still be right behind him
As my college roommate who acted in all the school’s plays used to say: “It’s in the script.” 😜
Very sad..bubba 😢😢..watch many times
Mother Ritter has the _best_ lines!
Brilliantly played by the late Jocelyn Brando. Marlon Brando’s sister. May she RIP. Passed away 11/27/2005 at age 86.
Wow! Great film
😊 great
Really enjoyed this movie
Classic movie 🎥
Amazing how they don't bury people in a vault as required by law!
Great old movie
Crime pays, justice stands alone. no matter how far it may take, you got to pay the misdeeds of your actions
nice movie😮
1:16:25; If he had a cell phone, he could have saved himself.... But back then there was no cell phone!!!
Even if he had one, the grain would likely have covered him by the time help got there, that silo looked like it was out in the middle of nowhere.
There were cell phones in '81. There will come a time when we will rue the day those portable tracking devices were invented.
Thumbs up for that 👍
Nice movie
I saw that movie long time ago 1985 I didn’t remember the name of that movie glad I see it again
This movie
Dark night of the scarecrow
Original Halloween 1978
Salems Lot
The Exorcist
movies that scared the Fk out of me in my childhood
The story takes place in Texas. That is a Texas license plate on the ambulance at the Hocker's farm, 50:22.
They could have just put that plate on the Vehicle to make viewers think it’s Texas. Literally means nothing
A rare movie where the bad guys are the stars.
One of the great horror movies. TV or Cinema
The thumbnail makes it look like an Asylum movie. lol
So lovely 🥰 I
nice film, once they could do them
หมาดำกัดเด็กนะทำไมต้องตามฆ่าผู้ชายคนนี้เค้าไม่ได้ฆ่าเด็กเค้าพยามช่วยเด็กไว้ต่างหากล่ะ🥺🥺
A true Masterpiece
What' got me when people cheered and clapped hands at the verdict in The trial 😡😡😡😡
Classic!!
It's FRI-yay 🎉

When you upload the movie 1313: Bigfoot Island by director David Decoteau in full hd, do I like his movies?

What is a female?
Don't see this film as a horror movie. Absolutely comic.

The scarecrow mans eyes look funny when he was caught by the mail man and friends , he was so scared lol
Sorry, my typo. I mean they didn't check if the death was caused by a human or by other means like an animal.
Dark night of the scarecrow
I thought this was a new one but I c someone else has seen it before
The Scarecrow is JEEPER CREEPER'S grand papi 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
👍👍
He’d gotten to the point he wasn’t making any sense!

Sorry, I later found out that the girl didn't die. She was injured, but how? I didn't see any injury marks from the dog bites.
Thought she was bleeding?
Misses Bunch made some tasty looking stuff lol
I hate the way viewers side with Bubba.
Of course you do.
Why?
❤
👏👏👏👏👏💥💥💥💥🔥🔥💯
Imaginative Film but SO SLOW that I completed house work.

Dr giggles!!
