For what I've seen till now, the regular Godzilla Death C. is in every collector's box. Ofc it's just this first print.

Could be made in the US but sent to Rudy thru a European distributor. Here we do have cards made in the EU but special product like prerelease packs and collectors items are still made in the US.
Yes it was made in USA but the french text actually says it was imported into Canada... so it is technically a box/pack for release outside of the US though not for Europe...
@just pelé i have experienced french cards (made in belgium) and english cards (made in USA) during GPs. European cards were of a much higher quality (better inkage and thicker paper)
@@Just_Pele I bought a few cards from Modern Horizons from the US. They definitely don't have the same quality as the European ones I've bought. You can feel it instantly, and hear it when you slide the cards over another (like you're shuffling them in your hand).
Don't know when US cards got that way, but Dominaria was the same.

Awesome set with all the Godzilla cards and the other Toho monsters. Gonna be some real value there with how many people love Toho movies.
Some random thoughts by a long time forgotten mtg player, Godzilla enthusiast and arborist
1) Most Godzilla themed creatures should had been *both* dinosaur *and* dragon to their types. In the not so long past, we've seen dragon cards had little to do with the vague idea of dragons, so I would had expect seeing both subtypes including a possible third ones, for monsters such as Rodan (bird perhaps?).
2) A cat dinosaur card is plain silly, but I can't say I expected much by *hasbro*. I mean sure, I love oregano with various food, but I don't ever think smoking it, like they most probably do.
3). The "Jurassic" shaped tree you mentioned, is probably a Dracaena cinnabari, also nicknamed "dragon's blood tree" due its red sap, a so called "living fossil", which has little changed the past few millions years and I'm looking to get some seeds. You should try to grow it in Florida!

This is definitely the Zendikar - Scars of Mirrodin for this generation of Magic. Pioneer was just introduced and then some crazy sets come out. Just the same as Modern came out and shortly after OP staples of the format launch; Zendikar - Scars of Mirrodin. Pretty exciting to be part of the early ages of both formats.

This set has 1 random card from C20 in each of the special edition packs. That black Deadly Rollick card was a nice little 20$ bill.
Companions are cards that basically require you build your deck based on their specific requirements (each has different requirements) then for doing so you may run the companion as an extra card outside your deck in addition to the cards in your deck without counting towards the total cards in your deck. From there you may cast it at any point as though it were in your hand, but when it dies or is exiled it goes to the appropriate zone ( like a single time use commander for any format or your 101st card in commander)

I've watched a few collector box openings, and it seems like almost every single box has had two of the space godzilla. I agree that the value will drop but the fact that they exist in only first edition makes it interesting.

Zirda, that bird serpent, deaths oasis, broodmoth and the ape dude, 5 friggin box toppers what the hell
Companions are supposed to represent a theme in ikoria where humans and monsters work together, and they are known as bonders. There is a companion for each guild color, and they work in a way where you build your deck with the companion rules in mind. For example, gyruda, the dimir companion, requires that every card in your deck must have even CMC. Once you follow the companion rule, you just put that companion in your sideboard and simply declare you have that companion creature as your companion. During gameplay, you are allowed to cast your companion as if it was in your hand from your sideboard. This means the player who puts a constraint on their deck is allowed to effectively have an extra 8th card in their hand until they play it. This got commander player's panties in a bunch because it allowed people to have a 101 card deck, and one of the companions, the izzet companion luttri, was effectively a free extra card if running izzet colors and had a copy instant or sorcery effect with flash. Luttri got banned in commander as soon as it got announced, due to the limitation for companion just being the Singleton format ruling of only using 1 copy of each card baring lands.
