As a Chiefs fan, I'd be SO nervous going into the playoffs undefeated. I'd much rather they exercise some demons with 2-3 dumb/mistake losses BEFORE a playoff run begins. Yep...Chiefs fan here has reached the point where a loss or 3 might be welcome (for example, the Raiders loss on Christmas Day last year before running the table in playoffs/Super Bowl).
Cheifs fan. There's 0 chance of an undefeated season.
In the AFC, the Cheifs have 0 losses, Texans have 1, everyone else has 2 or more.
If the cheifs go 15-0 they'll meet the texans in week 16 who's best possible record could be 14-1. If the texans have another loss by then the Cheifs will have almost certainly locked in the 1 seed. The cheifs would probably not play their starters to keep them healthy for the playoffs. If the texans are still at only 1 loss they could steal the 1 seed by beating them and getting the tie breaker, but if the cheifs win they absolutely lock up the 1 seed and then rest week 17 against the steelers. KC almost always loses when the game doesn't actually count for anything (see our winless pre-season this year) Because there's literally no conceivable way KC would need to go undefeated, I don't think they will even on the very tiny chance that they could.
Chiefs are definitely gonna do it if all goes well and they end up say 13-0 or 14-0, Mahomes would definitely want an undefeated season on his resume.

Naw though, not gonna go undefeated till then anyways. Look at the way they are playing, it's awesome but conceivable football. The best team as much as they need to be. They'll win the division and turn it to 11 in the playoffs. Like always with Pat and Kelce. Tonight looked superb though.

There’s not much comp left on their schedule besides 3 proven teams niners,bills and texans so long they don’t do anything dumb or Mahomes gets injured they can.
@nextbigthing2917 The probability is still low. They're more likely to have a bad week and lose to an inferior team at some point then to go undefeated.

See nobody but you mentioned Travis's other things he does! Everybody just said Travis is to old or he doesn't have it anymore! Bull he has not missed a step but the ball wasn't coming his was!! That's bull. Patrick was just wanting to go long balll but that is only 1out of 80 chances at the most but the ball 10 to 20 yards or more is probably 80 percent chance or more! Patrick wasn't wanting to go with the lesser and of course that's what Travis does so he wasn't getting the ball! So I'm glad you put it out there and I wish other people would do the same!
Let's get real for a change, shall we? No team can be expected to go injury-free and undefeated through an entire grueling season of heavy athletic combat on a playing field. Going undefeated requires all key elements of a team being in top physical condition or damn near that capacity.
Chiefs' focus should just to Three-peat, going undefeated in the regular season is pure bonus, but improbable given the rate of injuries they've taken in. Say if Kareem goes down, or Nick B miss a game or two...hmmmm
It’s best to lose though and have adversity now than to go into the playoffs trying to remain perfect.

OOOHH As a Pats fan Im going to be PISSED if the Chiefs go perfect which is the one thing Brady and the Pats never did. At that point if he wins as much as Brady AND has an undefeated season under his belt Im sorry Pats fans but that makes him the greatest QB of all time.

@@davidfitzpatrick6535 Even if they lock the 1 seed up with 3-4 weeks left by going undefeated, I don’t think they would rest their starters until the last week. If it comes to that then maybe the play some of them just to try to get the undefeated season but I would just think that they wouldn’t want to risk injury. Their last game this year is against the broncos, so they could win it without their starters, just like they did to the chargers in week 18 last year when they sat
