Hey, good question. I have been planning on a video about making drones. I can tell you one thing that is usually the same on most of them: no matter the key, the first hole location on the bottom of the main flute makes a good harmony on the drone ;) If you need more info sooner, please feel free to contact me through our website and I will get back to you asap!
Hi Charlie, that is a cool drone flute I've never seen one with the thumb and side hole great idea. I've been making flutes for a couple years now and I wanted to try to make a double bore drone, you think you might be able to make a video on how to make a drone like that?
Wonderful work, I am currently thinking about making a double drone out of a single piece of elk horn. Do you think this could be a righteous undertaking, oh master?
Thanks. 🙂👍 We've been on etsy for years, however I prefer to sell from our website bluebearflutes.com these days in order to offer additional information. I think that today we are able to reach so many more people from our site as well!
Hi Leah. We will be offering them for sale in a few days on the website www.bluebearflutes.com at which time prices will be posted. Keep checking back!
I just got my first drone flute from a flute maker in London. It sounds incredible and I love it.
They are a lot of fun! We have lots of videos on how to play and we sell many types of drones as well! Thanks for watching!
Cool flute, very interesting and harmonic sound of 2 chambers. It was very interesting for watching, thanks so much...
Sounds so beautiful! My first drone flute is actually on the way here right now, can't wait for it to arrive.
Where did you purchase your flute, and are you happy with it?
Thats got a nice sound. The dual chamber gives a double sound effect. Lovely sound and well made.
This is my next goal! Love the Harmonic sound.
Natives actually created drone flutes probably on more than one occasion. One that is the most notable is the Calima Culture's drone flutes!
