    -----------------------------------
Lake Titicaca in Peru is the highest lake in the world (3800m) where boats are operating. On the lake the ancient people of the Uros indians live on islands made of living reeds that float around the lake. The Uros people have been living on the lake for hundreds of years. Reed is very important for them. The islands, their houses and boats are made of reed. The even eat reed!
About our trip to Peru (1996)
    ----------------------------------------------
In 1996 we made a round trip in Peru by public transport. We started in Lima and then to Paracas, Nazca, Arequipa, the Collca canyon, Puno, lake Titicaca, Cuzco (Urubamba valley) and finally 9 days to the Manu national park. This movie is part 6 (out of 13) of this trip. See the Peru 1996 playlist to see them all.

Interesting to see how people live in different places across the world.
