I love this video… Kenny is my favorite bluegrass guitarist alive. In one word I would describe Kenny’s playing as “chill”. And needless to say, Amanda is one of the best female bluegrass vocalists on the scene!
Hello, Kenny and Amanda, this is Terry Whiteside ! Im in Tulsa the last 7 years dint miss Branson too much just Jay Don abd a few good fruends!! I was glad to hear you recorded Rob Meltons song and was a pall bearer at his funeral, he loved puckin and writting songs and is missed.. keep up the grat work and loik forward to seeing you again someday, I still owe you a dinner if you ever get to Tulsa….
Literally just randomly saw you picking this in a video, had to check it out. You guys are awesome man, that guitar is smooooooth. The vocals are a perfect fit honestly. Great duo.
Just stumbled across this because I was listening to Gilian Welch. I thought this was going to be some quaint little recording in somebody’s living room. Within two notes I knew that I was sorely mistaken. This was amazing! And I now know what I’m going to be doing for the next month- studying the $&@* out of this video and learning it note for note.
I've never played a guitar that was better than a Collings, and only a couple that were close! I remember the first time i played one at a shop, i actually got to play 5 or 6. "This is the best guitar i've ever played... no, this one is! no.... this one!" You could spin a roulette wheel and land on any collings and i'd be happy with it. Someday...
Last week, I had the privilege and pleasure of being invited to play and sing in a small jam that included these amazing folks!
What do you play ObservantHistorian?

@Michael Mark I love this video too.. keep coming back to it... Agreed on the points you made.
They are the real deal.
Heavy praise, coming from you. I've enjoyed your videos for years. ✌️
Relaxed setting. Yet a clinic of lead and rhythm guitar.
I got to see Kelly and Amanda live at Blue Waters Bluegrass festival in Washington. I was hooked!

Thanks Dan. Consistent quality is something we've always strived for, so your compliment is very much appreciated!
one day, probably one very very far away, I *will* own a Collings as well
I knew Jenny was fantastic BUT..... Amanda's rythm and control on that Fred was spectacular
Excellent
I want one....
goosebumps....
...there's actually a 'thumbs down' on this vid?!?
Beautifully Done! Thanks for posting!
Awesome!
I love this laid-back style of bluegrass that doesn't always go 4,000 notes per minute. anyone have any recommendations with a similar vibe?
What brand capo is he using?
I used to think the Jaybirds version of this was my favorite, but now, I don't think so!
Why was I convinced this was a John Reischman and the JayBirds original?
This doesn't suck.✌️
