Teensy is her third baby since I have been watching. Tiny was a boy, Teeny is a girl and she lost Tiy last year, who was born big and did not survive, even with her being big and healthy at birth. Tiny was a yearling when I started watching.

Been bad in Alabama, too. We’ve had a deepening Flas Drought over the past two months. We’re suppose to get around two inches that will help, but not end the drought. Also suppose to get high winds & tornadoes, too.
I see the issue as 3-fold for this pair. 1. Tina has to be isolated in order to give her something to eat. 2. Teensy has to be off the teat and on the ground in order to eat the goodies brought, and 3rd, feeding has to be consistent. How often does AM meet them so he can feed them? An occasional meal for Teensy will not work. Do other feeders feed her. I applaud AM's efforts and his intentions are good. I do wonder, though, if Nature should be allowed to take its course. Teensy survives or doesn't. Tiny and Teeny did, hopefully Teensy does too.
Well I can answer part of your question, based on what happened when the same situation occurred with Teeny. YES, I am sure other feeders are helping with Teensy! AM figured out the solution with Teeny and looped in other feeders. It was a group effort to save Teeny, and I have zero doubt it is working the same with Teensy. The regular feeders know these troops well and will be well aware of the problems faced by all of Tina's babies due we think to her poor milk quality/quantity. So even if AM is only able to try to help Teensy once or twice a week, it is well worth it, as others will also be trying to help her other days. Hope that helps, and I'm sure pulling for Teensy to pull through too!
What is this skin condition that seen most frequently in the older lower ranked females. It looks kinda like mange that i have seen in other animals. Rhesus monkeys seem to have more skin issues compaired to other macaques, but it all sees like rhesus in these country parks as well. Could it be a sensitivity to something they are being fed, a missing nutrient, anxious over grooming, or something like mange (skin parasite/infection). And like i said it seems to be more frequent in monkeys that appear older and of lower rank within their troop.
Arroz, thank you for naming a monkey after me, now my granddaughter would love to have a beautiful baby girl named after her if you come across one, her name is Bianca and her nickname is Bink or Binky, she will be 17 years. old this month that would be a great birthday gift just knowing in a different country there is a monkey named after her
If there ever was a mother who should have been sterilised it’s Tina, we’ve watched her sit back while her babies forage for food for her to then take it off them, I know it’s nature but it’s just sad for them
The babies are so cute, but they turn into such homely adults. There are only a few Macaque species like Pig tails that stay pretty. Look at the darling , blond, Stump-tails. As soon as they grow up their , “Moms”,(what a joke) return them to the forest. Yeah, I know, politically incorrect!
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Get to know these monkeys as individuals and they will all be beautiful, each in their own individual way. Also, similar to people, they change with age. Virtually all babies are adorable, some will grow up to be more good looking to us than others and individual tastes vary, and they show their age in latter years. I've always thought Lubby and Reddy were particularly beautiful, and both are past their prime now but I still adore them.
Yes, that’s Very true! Some people think Chimpanzees are adorable!! I myself love Orangutans, Spider monkeys, Squirrel monkeys, and Slulawazi and Pig tail Macaques. I don’t know if anyone thinks adult Orangutans are adorable but I do!
It seems like the best time to try and give extra snacks is when some of the feeders are around, more of the monkeys will be distracted and less likely to try and steal it since food is already being given out. Is there some sort of nourishment boost that could be given to the mother to make her milk more caloricly and nutrient dense? A few of her babies have had this same issue, so it seem obvious that either she isnt getting a good and abundant range of food items or something is wrong with her overall milk production, with the first being the more likely.
I hate Teensy's story. I feel like we are going to get our hopes up only to be crushed. Is there something missing, at the end of one video preview, you showed Teeny with Teensy. Have I missed one somewhere?
Arroz, you should have defended Tina and Gypsy long before you did. You knew they weren’t bad moms, and were a victim of their circumstance. Tina is so low ranking and feared her mates in the troop. And you knew Rudy was sterilized and pulling rank on gypsy to steal Kailey from her, which ultimately killed her. You knew, but you still allowed your fanbase to completely ruin the reputations of these monkey moms until today. For shame. You’re a VO at the end of the day, lets be for real. A lot of people trust you to be better, but I will never forget you vilifying Tina and Gypsy for years!!!
There's a difference between not interfering with nature and manipulating nature. AM is not like the other VOs nor is he a primatoligist. He's just sharing life on Monkey Hill with others who are just as interested in the rhesus monkeys as he is. How is he supposed to instantly know who's a good monkey and who's bad? It's not like he can get into their heads. Even the experts are still learning about monkey behavior after years of research.

Get over whatever petty thing you are really pissed off about. AM knows these particular monkeys better than you ever will and he has ALWAYS tried to give them the benefit of the doubt. Even when they didn't deserve it. Tina IS a villain. Gypsy is different. Very different.

These are wild monkeys, you cannot approach a baby without getting yourself hurt. A wild mother monkey will never let a human come near a baby. These aren't ex-pets or descendants of such like those in Cambodia.

Tina would never have a baby survive if it weren’t getting supplements from you. It’s sad because she has no idea her breast milk is not there.

Quite a few of the young moms are rather pretty!
You are seeing them in summer when moulting takes place. Come winter they will all look like adorable fluffy things !
