Expectations will be unreasonably high because of who his father is. Getting on the pro tour won't be easy with so much depth in talent around these days. Good luck to him.
There may be invented terms specific to various fictional fantasy universes, but in general communication one can expect "wizard" or its equivalent mated with the general terms for newcomers like novice, neophyte, trainee, fledgling, recruit, and so on, as in The Sorcerer's Apprentice.
I have a story that some of you might find interesting . I am actually Simon's cousin . We used to work together with our fathers as bricklayers . My dad and my uncle David were both pretty good darts players and if I remember correctly , won the states doubles title a couple of times . Anyway , Simon was already working with them before me and my old man had nick named Simon , Mason . I'm not exactly sure why , maybe something to do with stonemasons . On my first day i called Simon, Mason , and he said , no your Mason now , and I said , no your Mason . From that day on , we referred to each other as Mason , and still do . Didn't I have a laugh when he told me that he had actually seriously called his son Mason . Then i watched this and remembered that Mason ( Simon ) was the apprentice of the year for bricklaying . Now Mason junior is using the name The Apprentice . How ironic .It just keeps getting better 😂😂😂😂 GO YOUNG MASON !
I think it's wrong to use his father's notoriety to get people to watch,I watch every modus series, but I was excited to see the Wizard, good luck to Mason all the same.
Sounds very similarly to his Father. A mega chilled dude and a very pleasant chap. All the best Mason.

I edited my comment. I mean he has a pleasant demeanour and attitude. I wasn’t banging on about his looks! 🤦🏻♂️
@@GogReviewswell you did have it as very pleasant looking. Hard to see it any other way with it written like it was. 🤷♂️
Oh my God he's carved out of his dad, isn't he?!!!! All the very best to him, I'm a huge fan of Simons.. 🎉
Love the good old Aussie drawl, and great to see the confidence showing through without pomposity. Good luck mate.

@@HappyRagingMatt you've commented this like twice now mate lol what have you got against him
@HappyRagingMatt , are you jealous, perhaps !!!
@@itzsaucey1 i dont care if its John Henderson or Mason Whitlock. Their looks have nothing to do with their ability to throw darts.
Whoever wrote the quote on the thumbnail should've phrased it slightly differently-Ooof.
😂😂
My Dad followed his Dad for years before he passed away great player Simon and wish Mason all the best 🎉🎉
All the best mason 💪

Wish him the best of luck. If he's half as good as his old man then he will make a good living.
So good to have a younger Whitlock join the darts family 👍🏻
