You're very right that it's not an easy sport, but I have to disagree that it isn't entertaining to watch. It is extremely physically demanding, mentally demanding, and honestly is an awesome spectator sport as well, assuming you have some experience with the game. Truly epic in every way. I watched some "amazing" tennis shots on TH-cam recently and they didn't look so amazing to me at all, because I probably can't appreciate just how hard it is to do what Federer does. Same as you here.
yes man. I was introduced to the sport when i was like 12 or 13. Its a fun sport, especially once you get better at Your Back hand and forehand strokes. It gave me the opportunity to travel and got to camps on scholarships when i was younger. I play from time to time now since i moved to different state theres not much court around me. I did Boxing, Baseball, Football and Squash was way more competitive and fun for me.
@Andrew Brown Yes I'd advise playing. because i) you can have fun at lots of standards, beginner to advanced ii) it's an excellent work out iii) it's social- you can make new friends through your squash club - I have iv) it's inexpensive v) it's safe - it has a low injury rate (e.g. soccer has a higher injury rate) vi) you can build skill through coaching if you want vii) men and women can play together if you want viii) Its technique is quite easy - e.g. easier than tennis.
عاشور عاشور عاشور.. only Egyptians will get this one :p . Brilliant squash .... hard luck to Gaultier ...congratz to Ashour enjoy the video every one else
@psasquash can we have the full match please. This could be a very useful one to understand what it takes to make a comeback from 2-0. Ashour must have played with tremendous intellect to win this one. What a great match!
I don't know if you have played squash with a superior player, but your body gives up when you are trying to play 110% to beat a better player. The last time I did that, the score was 9-6 in my favor, but I had nothing left....but I didn't give up. Eventually lost the game 12-10 and had a musculo-skeletal injury that lasted almost 2 months. I am borderline division 1 level...I can't imagine how tough the sport is on these guys bodies at their skill level.
well well what a great great performance and great come back 2-0 down and winning 3-2 Ramy is just like a great ones like in 80 and 90 like JAHANGIR KHAN and JANSHER KHAN but still waiting that what he will do more Ramy is not finish yet he young and amazing talented player :)
Little Sidenote on Michael 's reaction. Make sure you play safe. Experienced Squash players and unexperienced ones don't mix well. Allways... Always remember your backswing and safety when the other player is in the way. A racket or a ball in the eye can cause -lightly said- unpleasant things. Not sure about the other player's whereabouts in a quick exchange rally? Play a let, please! For the rest.. Enjoy!! It's an awesome game,
somehow Ramy Ashour and Amr Shabana's sponsorship contract ended right before the ToC in NYC. so Ramy went back to his beloved airstick 130, his favorite.
4:08 And Greg was done at that point. Good effort though, he had an extremely tough semi final and I believe he could have won with a bit more gas in the tank.
5:06 rally for the ages ends with Ashour playing racquet guitar after showing his reflexes
It is. Im still looking that it in 2023

Ramy I miss you, hope you get better...
One of the best matches i've seen lately!
Amazing game! Despite his loss, I think even Gaultier enjoyed it. The minute from @4:30 to @5:30 is pure genius.
This full match would make a perfect Christmas special...
Haha, who knows what Santa will bring?

Falcon Lover he said the best in the world, not the best ever, you dumb.
aleoferdie i was talking to Omar Mohamed lol
It is Prince Airstick indeed, the same racket he played since he was 14. Now it is official that Price has signed Ashour for a multi-year contract.
역사에 남을 기타 세레모니ㅎㅎㅎ

Wow... Great to see Gaultier at his best in the first 2 games. What planet is Ashour from?!
Pure genius!
Insane rally and what a reaction..
How come the quality of the Squash TV videos on TH-cam is so much higher than their quality on your website?
And this is ur "Congratulations" from Egypt.. ASHOUR ... I wish you luck Permanent
I'm 17 and thinking of getting involved in squash, i think it looks a good sport. Would any of you advise getting involved?
fascinating sport

Can anyone tell me what racket Rammy was using there, it certainly does not look like the dunlop biomimetic max ?
The best sport ever
Squash poetry..
Anyone know which string Gregory Gaultier is using?
@kovork it was down, as in it hit the tin. If you still wanted to know
buenisimo
somehow Ramy Ashour and Amr Shabana's sponsorship contract ended right before the ToC in NYC. so Ramy went back to his beloved airstick 130, his favorite.
u r one sick human Ramy
agreed, magic.
good catch:)
4:08
And Greg was done at that point.
Good effort though, he had an extremely tough semi final and I believe he could have won with a bit more gas in the tank.
Ramy Ashour is a squash GOD. How did he play that rally at 5:30 OMG
Hahaha point at 5:07 is the very first point that i've seen in my life in both tennis and squash where it made me laugh in amazement for real :D
Gotta watch more Monfils
mabrooooooooook
Anyone else notice the shot ramy hit after he loses the first rally in this video?
WHAT IS THE POINT OF CONSCIOUS BEING?
IT TAKES TIME TO GET A FAST ENOUGH EYE FOR TOP SQUASH [THAT IS HOW IT WAS FOR ME]
great comeback. feel bad for gaultier. always losing to ashour in 5 sets.
that one rally was insane...and we all know which one i am talking about
What's that racket, played by Ashour?
GAU is really gentle man, he doesn't play for winnig game but
enjoing game, that compare with matthew ,
I think GAU takes high ranking than now.
5:06 super play!!!!!!!
I wonder if Jansher Khan would be able to get a few points from these guys
5:30 going straight onto the megarallies series maybe ;)?
Ramy a dude you wouldn’t mind losing to, just a gentleman of the game.

YES RAMY ASHOUR IS BACK !!
At 2:55 is he hitting the back wall?
Cant stop replaying the point at 5:07

how is this supposed to work?
that the Egyptian yeah bro we are the best
The ref said "down" which means Ashour hit the metal bar at the top of the tin.
LOOK AT HIS EYES!
The best rally ever at 5-2 in the fourth? While others get tired, Ramy becomes all the time fresher as the match progresses.
best shot at 0:20
THERE ARE SUPERB BLACKS[E.G. RSA], BROWNS[RAMY,KAHNS].
From here on out no one can beat Ramy Ashour
