update: I got a bit drunk on a Friday night and called him on a whim. We're now talking again lol. Two high-functioning adults fail at keeping rational about life decisions. I guess this is simply what makes us human ... to love is to lose control. Both knowing this will fail but still do not want to let go.
@@mangopfft Soooo beautifully said. I hope things work out well and you guys end up living out your relationship as peacefully and lovingly as possible knowing the end. Maybe it's actually not the inevitable and maybe letting go right now isn't the best option- its just the easiest. Regardless, I hope your heart doesn't hurt too much from it all.
As for me, I removed him from everything and my healing is going much better! I think of him from time to time, which is normal, but i know it's done and moving on is best. I asked him to tell me through text that it's 100 percent over so I could read it any time I got any sliver of hope and that surprisingly works. I read his text and go back to minding my business. Haha!!
@@miaellis8542 Coming back to this again! It ended two weeks ago, we had a good time and the break was quite like you said - the easiest, most sensible option. Who knows, if the universe could bring two random people together once, maybe there's the slightest chance it could happen again? Hahaha, even if it doesn't, I know we will both find good places because we both deserve the best -- and I hope the same for you too.
