Very very surprised did not expect that.
    Completely different approach.
I just can't comprehend your thought process :-).
I'll post my way at the other place.
    10/10

***** Thanks, Rambo Blender! Your skills in Blender have really been inspirational to my work also. I appreciate the support, and the help you've provided in my Blender translations of these techniques.

John Malcolm You're making me blush hahahaha.I see it more as gaining knowledge together.

This whole series of Tutorials is great, I've watched and modelled them all. They're clear, easy to follow and produce really complex forms in very little time. Please keep doing them, nearly 1000 views in 2 weeks!

Outstanding modelling, John. I think this is the most complex of your tutorial creations so far, but the simplicity in the way you approach this is stunning.

As a 3D artist myself you have opened my eyes to think differently about modeling. You have even given me a reason to explore tools I've never touched, like the hedra.
I'm curious though, would you be willing to make a video talking about what you do, how you got into 3D modeling and how long you have been doing it?

UNSCODST Thank you. I think if people wanted to see that, it could be a possibility. I'm not sure I'd add it up here, to this TH-cam account, simply because I'm hoping to keep this channel entirely educational, but it's possible.

Incredible! That looks so good. I'll give it a shot in Modo.

    Excellent John Malcolm !!
I'm tempted to try reproduce this using Wings3D. :-)

Micheus Vieira I'd love to see that. I'm sure the procedure would be a lot different, being Wings will require manifold surfaces throughout the process, but certainly it will be very interesting to see! I wouldn't know how to attack this with a manifold strategy. It may be quicker that way though. I have a Blender version I'm going to release soon, but the steps are virtually the same as I've done here.

John Malcolm I'm trying, but I stopped at the step you apply the Shell command. I still couldn't find a workaround for that. :(
I have to think more, or maybe write a plugin that produce that result. :)

That Shell command, is it used to give the object a thickness. If so, I think I found a workaround.

Micheus Vieira Hi, Micheus. Yes, the Shell modifier in 3dsmax, like the Solidify modifier in Blender and other packages, is used to give thickness to non-manifold surfaces. It works in both negative or positive directions, applying an inner and/or outer thickness. For example, you can apply an equal integer in both the inner and outer radius. This offsets the normals direction of the single-sided faces, to help avoid crossing edges, or eventually overlapping vertices, etc. I'm interested to see what you come up with.

Thanks for the explanation about the command. It looks like we could add something like it to W3D. By now, my alternative was to move the inner and outer faces in the face's normal in order to simulate your action. So I can move then using different values as you used for shell command. I'm fixing the workflow. As soon as I have a good result I'll share here.
      Thanks again.

That's a nice one, especially to try some other variations! I saved many increments of the project to be able to go back and try those alternatives.

How he make this kind of stuffs . He just make from his mind or there is any previous model before he design that in 3D ?
