Whenever I see these videos I'm reminded of the fact that, although I thought I was hot stuff in the local track world back in the early 70s, I wasn't really that great at all.
Don't sweat it OG, I'm sure u really was a hot stuff back in those days. Technology, nutrition, formulas and training techniques has dramatically improved during this era. But I'm sure u did your thing back in them days. 😁😁
We have less evolutionary pressure than at any other time in history, in the distant past only the strong survived. Our population explosion is a likely reason that so many people who fall on the extremes of bell curves exist.

This kid, lmao with the glasses, headband on his neck and flex at the finish...wow...he could have ran 51 or 50 ...AAU has made the biggest difference in track and field...those are varsity placing times at a standard track meet

I never timed myself but I probably ran somewhere around a 53:30

Texas storm was In 11-12 for the finals in the 400 for usatf I watched him dust everybody he ran a 53 tho but everybody else ran 57 to 60
It’s crazy because Texas storm switched to usatf mid junior olympics qualifying guess they didn’t want to go against the big dogs in aau

I would think the evidence is today they have AAU races where 15 year olds are clocking times of high 46s to 49 seconds. And do you still need evidence?
