- With a chip on my shoulder and all the pressure in the world, we ventured out to California for Global Time Attack's year end Buttonwillow event once more. We knew that, being the very first outing for the TA90 V2, we shouldn't expect too much too early. But holy cow did this car blow our minds to pieces.

It is frustrating, but we’ll work through it. It’s unpolished but being able to run a 50 flat this easily shows how much potential there is...

The potential in this is IMMENSE. You had so many electrical issues and was on a shakedown and you hit a 1:50:06. That's mental what the fuck. This thing is a MONSTER!!!

Well done Jackie. So happy for you!! For your transmission going to limp mode it could he due to the transmission cooler getting clogged from being small metal pipes being snaked together. Replace the trans oil cooler n u should never never have trans problems moving forward. Just something you can try.
We are indeed looking to upgrade all the coolers, but need to make some calls first!

Awesome run lapping at 1.50.059 as your final result but you were so close to lapping at 1.49! Congrats man! Can't wait to see what other potentials your TA90 V2 will have in the future and you might surpass that 1.49 lap or less than that in the later future.

TC may not like the squared set up, c5 corvettes have the same issue due to the computer expecting a certain front and rear tire ratio

I think he should get one of the Boostlogic or Pure turbo upgrades for this car. A tad more power on the straights and more traction exiting corners would be fantastic. Maybe shave off 1 or 2 seconds

How can you have more power AND more traction when tire size is limited?
@@JackieDing86 I think it's possible to get similar torque and more HP up top. You never drop below 3000RPM right? The turbo upgrade is definitely worth it. Traction I understand is harder to improve but i'm sure you'll find a way. You mentioned the front/rear rake which is one thing. The other is more downforce and possibly better traction control. Clearly it affects nearly every lap you do. It is tunable though, I recommend that being worked on too. Love your videos man, keep up the great work!!

I don’t know if you have checked but didn’t you change your battery? Could that be causing the dash to die and going into limp mode?

Hello, I'd like to know what size tires you are running and if that's the maximum size you're able to fit in the front?
Currently running 275 front and rear, and we have enough room to go 305s i believe

Man I gotta say after watching some of the S2K videos to then coming here it's a bit like going from the wild V10 F1 era where the cars screamed and danced era to the long and wide 2017+ F1 chassis. Even though the Supra is faster alot of the flair has gone, it was so much cooler watching you wrestle that crazy S2k.

Our AIM Solo 2 DL Does not have the right protocol to be able to sniff out all those data just yet. When it’s figured out I’ll throw it on

rough guess about 67k?
50k car, 2k wheels, 1k tires, 2k seats, harness, 2k roll bar, 2k downpipe and tune, 3k coilovers, 2k ball joints and control arms, 5k carbon Spage work + install labor for the whole shebang.
I think the old S2K with that kinda money spent would be faster... but a 1:50 is still a really good time, and it had 1:49s or 48s if it had behaved and let Jackie do a bunch of clean laps! Hope those electrical problems get sorted out..

Sparco Evos are $800 each. Sparco belts are $400 each. Seat mounting brackets are who knows? Maybe $150 each. My estimate was low. That's $2700 in hardware alone, no install labor.

What's crazy to me is that a stock 720S runs 1'49. I remember when it was hard for S2000s to run 2'00 at CW13

I was there last week we had the track rented and someone ran 1:29 on a Le Mans prototype 2

We haven’t removed any electronic systems tho, just unplugged a few speakers...

My bets are on the li-ion lightweight battery is the cause of the electrical issues. Make sure you have the car coded properly for lead-acid, AGM or LI-ION because there are different charging characteristics based on the battery chemistry + amp-hour capacity for BMW's.

front needs 0,5 inch lower and rear 0,5 inch higher, i think, for more downforce.

BMW are sensitive with battery, it might be the battery that you changed
