Hey guys! My sincerly thanks to everyone who wrote me down! I was very happy to read such welcomes and incentive words. As i said in a comment before, i really feel like a friend each of you! Best wishes from Rio!
That's one of the best sounding harpsichords I've ever heard, and it must be amazing in person! But I suspect you have a magic touch, Eduardo. Every instrument you play ends up sounding wonderfully musical. I wouldn't have thought a keyboard instrument of such vintage would be so bright, powerful, colorful, and rich-sounding. A good restoration would make it look as good as it sounds. Thanks so much for posting this!
i actually wouldn't' recommend restoring as most of the time it looses it;'s sound that way just leave the scratches and occasional paint chip it adds to the history of the instrument, not everything needs to be pretty to be good
This is still your greatest composition on harpsichord. I especially love this wild ending part. Which definitely deserve to be prolonged and continue to grade in some longer version. I noticed that it's your favorite melody among not just this one video. So making fully multiinstrumental video with this same melody prolonged and grading further over point, where you ended here would be a great idea. This melody is your germ and so deserve to be treated like this and too get it's own fully developed orchestral version ;-)
This is beautiful, to me it sounds like Rameau. I think the thick wooden legs might make a difference in the sound. An amazing instrument I have always loved. To me it is the sound of the baroque whether it is at the forefront or in the background
Magnificence Itself, Maestro-Virtuoso Eduardo Antonello! Sublime, Supreme, Phenomenal upload in manner clavecin français XVII-XVIII century doubled-manual a lot seems out like Pierre Donzelague of Lyon dated probably around 1716 ...am curious about details, tuned superb, the fabulous tone, sonorous & enchanted! Bravo, Bravissimo!!!
Thank you my friend! In fact the instrument does not have a signature anymore (or it´s hidden somewhere) but it seems to be a Garnier from the end of XVII begining of XVIII century

So happy to see you again! I thought it odd that you didn't name the composer, maybe Purcell? Then I read in the notes that it was improvised. Remarkable, bravo!
@@EarlyMusicinadifferentway you are a really good improviser, I would really love it if there was an identical piece I could learn. My baroque and Renaissance improv leaves a lot to be desired
Glad to see you posting videos again. Hard to believe that instrument is around 400 years old: It sounds better than a lot of modern instruments made within the past decade, lol!
would love a tour of the instruments and your home, which seems big :) also maybe lessons on improvisations or exercises, there is a hunger for it, and I personally have been learning by the day on how to better improvise
Wonderful to hear you once again! I so appreciate the immense amount of preparation your complex video productions require. Please realize that this more casual recording, even recorded on your phone, is also a great gift to us who admire your musicality. Keep it up! Greetings form Georgia USA
Glad to see a new video. I enjoy how you breathe new life into early music and these marvelous early instruments. Hope you’re thinking about making more of your delightful and masterful videos! 😃‼️
That's it. I'm not letting this go without at least saying something even if its only, well ....wow! In my middle age I was starting to think about ideas put forward by puritanical religious fundamentalists or whatever like 'what is actually the purpose of music' or 'music has no meaning outside of itself' but after listening to this (about 8 times in a row) I said how dare I take on board ideas like that.
Lovely to see/hear you back after all this time ! This instrument is great - very impressive. Keep on uploading when & whatever you can - always welcome .
OMG so glad to see a new upload, Eduardo! Thank you! I adore this music... and your enthusiasm and excellence never fail to lift my spirits! Beautiful - sublime. THANK YOU.

Wonderful upbeat fun improvisations on a wonderful instrument! Thank you. Welcome back. Its good to hear from you. I know that what you do is time consuming, but even occasional videos make us all happy. Thank you from California.
Very happy to see that you are still here :) and the sound of that instrument is beautiful. I look forward to hearing more krummhorn, when you have time. Nobody does it quite like you do.
This instrument is in the 18th C. "Chinoiserie" style and appears to have undergone "a grand revalement" probably in the 1740s. A beautifully restored instrument. The harpsichord hit its peak when the piano was going thru its early growing pains (ca 1740-1780s).
Per improvvisare così, chissà quanto hai suonato e quanto hai ascoltato; in alcuni momenti pensavo fosse una composizione di François Couperin, lo stile è quello, poi, ho letto che è una tua improvvisazione. Tanti complimenti! Dimentivavo, stupendo clavicembalo.

These early instruments need to sing. Sometimes they languish like dusty pieces of forgotten furniture their voices stopped never allowed to sing. Well done for showing us how they sound.
