I am 22, but just can't compare this cosplay teenybopper music to past and current Rock greats that were mentioned ... and I've listen to every song on their 7 albums to date. You heard of Lightning Hopkins and his cousin Billy Bizor. Any of their music is light years ahead, look it up on TH-cam!
They are great in the studio, but even better live… and as previously mentioned by others have improved dramatically over the years! Rock hasn’t died, it has just moved to Japan!
The ladies of Band Maid actually watch reactions at times and under most circumstances you should have no blocking issues with them as long as your channel is set up appropriately.
This was 9 years ago for Band Maid. Would love for you to check out the official LIVE version of the song Domination on their channel. You'll definitely see why there is a fuss and why even the normally snobbish Rolling Stone magazine called them the "best rock show of the day" at Lollapalooza 2023. Not Thirty Seconds to Mars, not Kendrick Lamar or the 1975s. A group of women from Japan dressed like maids.

Their songs became more complex when they started writing their own music. Kanami the lead guitar is a genius composer. Their portfolio is deep and diverse, so continue the journey and see why we love the Maids. They're really great, they're like a rock and roll version of the all-female Japanese musical band called "Vanilla Mood". You should check out Vanilla Mood songs ...Day by Day... Have you heard Living Color, Cult of Personality? They’re an African American hard rock band that were out in the late 80’s. If you like a good guitar riff and great vocals in a well written song that you can apply to what’s going on now this is the song to listen to. Trust me you won’t be disappointed.

Like most Band-Maid songs, I like them from the get-go but really start to appreciate them after more hearings and seeing their LIVE videos. I'll go back and see an older song like YOLO, Order, Shake That, Freezer, Don’t Let Me Down, Before Yesterday, Real Existence, Non Fiction Days and Alone, etc. and realize there's no band that can consistently construct and play like Band-Maid.

At 30 and the youngest, “Sensei” (Teacher) as band members call her, has the last word on many musical decisions. Miku Kobato (Me-Ku) "Small Pigeon" - Rhythm guitar, vocals, lyricist, 32 years old. “Koba”, as Saiki calls her, is the Band founder and a firecracker MC & PR SpokesPigeon, po! Her “Magic Spell Time” charm and energy ignite the room. Kuruppo! No, no, no… KURUPPO!!
Kanami Tono (Ka-Na-Me) “Princess” - Lead guitar, keyboards, 32 years old, is a prolific writer of most Band-Maid material. Kanami (translates “Song Wave”) is a possessed riff-slayer who’s so damn adorable it hurts. The only thing you want from Mincho is more!
Akane Hirose (A-Ka-Nay) "Gorilla" - Drums, 33 years old, band energizer & co-clown with MISA. Achi’s talents include massive consumption of noodles and bananas, of course, (even during performance!) while revolutionizing rock drumming with relentless drive, dynamics and the kick. This “DrumZilla” is the Party!
MISA (Me-Sa) "Barefoot Assassin" - Bass, 31 years old. 2014's "Thrill" was supposed to be the last thing Band-Maid ever did. Their EP didn't chart and their follow up single wasn't doing well. Their management had scheduled a video shoot for the single, a sweet, gentle acoustic love song. That wasn't charting and they had decided to break up the band and go on to other projects, but the shoot was scheduled and budgeted for so they sent the band off to to do the shoot. The Girls decided they want to to perform the B-side, which they all liked, "Thrill" instead of the A-side. "Thrill" went viral and saved the band.

I put this one a solid #30 on my list of great Band Maid songs. Try only LIVE cuts of this band because a ton is missing in the official studio videos. They didn't write this song and it's very tame compared to some of the songs they've written.
Contrived, formula, but yet entertaining. I mean, what straight man doesn't like attractive young women rocking out? Especially when you can't understand them.
Maybe a bit contrived and formulaic.for when they started 10 year ago when this song was made,but they have evolved into something unique in the rock world. Definately worth more listens to more contemporary band maid songs.
If you can stomach the fan base. They are an incredible group of five unbelievable musicians. Great songs great chemistry and phenomenal live performers ! Hope you will do many more !
