So in the gangster bunny mod, the rabbits do not spawn with AK-47s visible but when the die they have a small chance of dropping one including some with more than the maximum magazine size of 30 bullets. What you do see is the rabbits wearing oversized Sunglasses (the dark polarized wraparound ones) that will drop when they die and you can wear them. It looks ridiculous on your character if you look at a mirror. Now I'm off collecting as many of these oversized sunglasses I can carry in my car.
Looks like someone was able to see it from the comments. Maybe machine gun/AK-47 armed rabbits are just rarer which makes since otherwise it would be too OP against the player. Note the rabbits will spawn in Peaceful setting as well they just won't shoot at you.
