    Hi, thank you for sharing. I have a dampness issue in my apartment and it’s bring gnats and flies. My neighbor told me he thinks the dampness is causing the bugs to hang around. I went to my local hardware store and was told by a customer she uses the product you illustrated and so I’m going to give it a try. Thank you so much for sharing. Have a nice summer. 🎉

      alicia...6 months later...i just saw your post and you probably already know this but i started buying these gnat & fly sticky paper sticks that you can use any where. i grow herbs in my kitchen so i just stick them into the dirt and they really work and they are cheap. got mine on amazon...hope this helps...and they also work outside in your plants...

    Mine worked! From the dollar store. Had it on top shelf of closet for a few months and found it full today. I think it's like those cilica packs you find in purses and COVID tests. It's to keep moisture out and protect items. My house is always humid. Going to buy more than just one and put them in each closet and bathroom. It's summer I bet they will fill up fast.

    Here's a better hack by using Is charcoal placed in a plastic or a jar with holes on Tom place that around your home. We know you barbecue, so that's even cheaper. I'm using old glass jars, jeweling holes in the top or plastic containers from McDonald's. Or whatever, let's eliminate the waste number one, and you'll also eliminate the more strip within your home, so try that thank you

    Hi MaryAnn! So nice to see you again. I found this video very very interesting! I have a question tho... I'm not at all familiar with these products, so I'm not certain where or how to utilize them. I live in a dry climate, but last year we had a leaky pipe under our kitchen sink. I cannot get the faint odor of mildew out of my tiny kitchen! My husband keeps promising to "fix it", lol! Unlike Joe, he's really more of a breaker than a fixer.😵 I'm taking the matter into my own hands, and wonder if you would recommend these products or if you or Joe have any other suggestions for a desperate housewife! Thanks so much!❤

    • @LifeWithMaryAnnJoe
      @LifeWithMaryAnnJoe  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi! It's Joe here..I think first you will need to wash tge entire area with bleach. That will kill any potential spores. Perhaps after airing that out use a product like pine sol. If you don't have a constant Dampness problem the damp rid won't actually do anything. Hope this us helpful!

    • @janupczak1643
      @janupczak1643 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@LifeWithMaryAnnJoe Thanks so much Joe! I really appreciate the information. I have not tried Pine Sol. I tried a diluted bleach, and then placed a fan in front of the cabinet (doors open) and it helped a bit...I'm going to try Pine Sol and using a stronger solution of bleach. Now I understand not to waste my money on the other things... Thanks for the tips, and as always, thanks for all the great videos. I don't often comment, but I never miss a video and never forget a thumbs up! Hope you two are enjoying Spring and staying healthy.❤

    Are the charcoal ones from Dollar Tree unscented? I've always used the unscented Damp Rid but if the DT ones are comparable and cheaper, I may give them a try.
