Good advice! I joined the Navy in 1976, the recruiters, contracts all the same then as now it sounds. Now you have much more resources, TH-cam for example, you can find out much there. I was an H.T. I was told I'd be welding. Mostly at first I unclogged the head. Eventually I did more welding, and it became my civilian career, good pay most of the time. But their may be more opportunity in civilian life when you get out now.
I’m trying to enlist in the navy this winter. I wish I could join as an Officer but I only have my Associates degree. I can’t afford to continue college to get my Bachelors before I join. So my plan is to enlist so I can go to school for free in the navy and work towards my bachelors, then go the the officer route. I can enlist as an e-3, and that pay is way more than what I’ve been making at part-time minimum wage as a civilian. Plus, combined I’ll be getting a $8,000 bonus (I’ll make sure to get it in writing) for college credits and if I pass that prt. I am married to a Marine, and I really want to help him financially by not depending on him completely to take care of us. And when I am able to get that BAH, that’ll really help us even more. I’m so excited to join the Navy! Thank you so much for your videos - really helpful and you’re so pretty!
girllll ur story sounds like mine so much. like I like my makeup, clothes, nail appointments, etc and ofc you can’t do that in the military lollll. I love ur energy, glad I’m not the only one with that feeling I guess lol.
I'm going Army, Hooah!!! Just feel like i got the attitude of a soldier and mind set of an airman so i said fuck it, go army because I can gain my own education and be smart in college on my own! BTW military personnel are getting paid more than a civilian whether you are single or have dependence because you don't have to pay for rent or a mortgage out of that small base pay. It may seem small but that base pay goes right in your pockets and not on rent nor a mortgage. Now if your personal bills adds up to where you may have little to no base pay money left, then that's why you may feel like military ppl don't get paid. Think about it. #GoArmy/BCTHereIComeBaby20190108
In high school I was kicking around the idea about the navy and I really liked the blue camos. 4 years later I decided to join but they changed to the green camos:/ turns out I like the green camos more lol
Man I’m in dep for active right now. Shitt I already signed my contract and everything, do you think it’s too late to switch to full time support? ALSO I have an associates degree from community college ~ the reason I’m joining the military is cuz I want to pursue higher education (bachelors and then masters maybe) but I BARELY am graduating with my 2 year degree...it was too expensive but I wanna finish. There’s no way I can afford to get my bachelors and wait 2 more years. I know it’s wayyyy better to become an officer than enlisted but I have no choice
My recruiter told me with all that I’m bringing with comming in I will be an E3 so I will be sure to get it all in ✍️ writing . Do you know how different HM rates or the rates that they go by for the medical jobs
I am little confused about full time support. If you are going in as in AM Full time support do you have to be stationed only at reserve bases or can you also go out on carriers and work in a squadron. I don't quite understand the difference we're chain active duty and full time support?
I have an associate's so I'd be going in as an E3- I want to go officer but the main reason I want to join the military is for the educational benefits so if I go to a university before I enlist, can the GI Bill/Post 9/11 cover those expenses or how does that work? Thank you
Hey Dierra I was considering on joining the navy I’m a senior in high school somewhat interested in computers and I’ve heard there’s positions for that particular skill. One recruiter came to my school I felt even more motivated to join as he talked about the pros and cons to it but overall great benefits. Being a senior right now and not really having the money to go to college or try new opportunities is hard and my whole life I just seen myself working a shitty job and when I started to think about the navy I feel I should take the risk to join because I have nothing to lose here from home I want a better future for myself so overall do you recommend it for someone like me?
I love love you and your sisters videos!! I am in hm school right now and I just wanted to know any tips you have on actually retaining the information we learn in corpsman school? I find myself remembering things just for testing purposes but I actually want to know know how and what to do when it comes to me actually having patients. I’m only in week 2 right now in corpsman school so maybe I’m thinking about it too much. But also how do you like where you’re stationed? Was it hard to adjust coming straight from corpsman school? and what are your thoughts on c schools? Sorry so many questions!
And any tips you have on being the top 10 in your class?! I really really hope I make it as the top 10 but I tend to doubt myself at times because of how many people are in my class and everyone seems so experienced already. Thank you :)
Hey N’Dierra I have been watching your videos for a while and I love them all, you are doing great keep up the good work but I have a question how is people from other countries are treated in the navy? Plz reply heavily interested!
Everyone is treated the same. Regardless of where your from, where you grew up, what your race or gender is. They treat everyone equally. Everyone gets yelled at, everyone gets beat (punishment through physical exercise), everyone goes through the same curriculum.
N'Dierra thank you for replying back to me cause I really appreciate it, also can you do video of the different type of rate (job), the different type of rank I know I would be very helpfully in so many ways ?
@@leesa0147 Hello Full Time Support is not a bad deal because it allows you to work at NOSC basically with reservist we rarely get to see a ship. Mainly shore duty billets.

I'm 28 and have my degree and want to either be in the reserves or go in active duty as an officer. I'm too old and know enough about life and have a degree to be accepting less than I should be getting just because a recruiter needs to fill a quota.
