Nice positive video. The reality, eh... Dallas is not lacking paved biking trails. Someone's long been making a ton of money building hundreds of miles of them over the years. Outdoor enthusiasts are about the lakes, kayaking creeks, wilderness areas. Mountain biking is decent here, but comes at a heavy cost to our limited wild areas. Forested areas are generally trash strewn and completely overgrown with invasive privet. They still sell privet in all the local garden stores as if nothing's wrong with that. The creek system is potentially a huge asset, but the cities use it for raw sewage overflow. So at least the major arteries are really bad. The overarching problem is pretty simple. Due to the culture, nothing significant happens here unless there's a way to turn a profit.

Nice discussion of Dallas and it's suburbs, but no mention of Fort Worth and its environs. Panther Island, the green trails from Fort Worth to Arlington--and eventually to Dallas, and the Arlington Entertainment District upgrades should be discussed.

The video is specifically re: the Dallas area. A separate FW video is coming soon. Thx for commenting 🙂

I thought the theme park was going to be bigger like in orlando. But will be on the bucket list.

I like the fact I have lived the majority of my life in Dallas, and I have to pay a monthly fee if I want to use the local park down the street. Yeah I can walk around outside for free, but I can also walk around my backyard for free minus all the exorbitant taxes to pay for the free parks for everybody.

How will a young business get awarded projects? Does it require HUB Certification?

Look into Harold Simmons Park. Seems like a good project that will add to everything else mentioned in this video.

Why is everything being build north? There is so much open space in the southern parts like South Grand Prairie, Duncanville, Desoto, Red Oak, Hutchins, Seagoville and other areas. They're just using the name Dallas to attract more visitors.

People are moving OUT of Texas. They can't afford the property taxes. Particularly older folks...

Hope in one hand…. What a waste of money. Dallas is becoming California. It just keeps spreading.
