There was at least one out in California, SF area as I recall, youngster with just a couple of Community College courses under his belt, and was calling himself “Chief Meteorologist”. He would just repeated what folks like Dr Cowan and others would share here on TH-cam. I’ll have to look and see if he is still out there playing at weatherman.

Monday, 5:30pm AST - Just took down the solar panels and finished tidying up the boat in St Croix. Looked at NHC and then Windy and Predict Wind and the storm has improved for us. Hope everyone else is well. My friend in Dominica said they got rain and not much wind. So far, we have only had a few drops. I don't mind doing all the preparation for a storm. I'm just happy it will not be as intense as originally forecast. Hope you are well Dr. Levi.

98L definitely has a lot of work to do in the next few days, but it has the Heat content and extremely warm waters to begin doing something tomorrow im sure. My best bet is still a 50 mph storm moving through somewhere near Guadeloupe-Antigua and then onto PR as a 65-70 mph storm
