Millennials grew up on this stuff because they played reruns of ALLL the classic television shows in the 90's so you got to share in the same fun with all of the shows your parents grew up watching! Good, classic television. Stays with you for life.

It saddens me that your question is the all - too - common one we'd expect of most people. She was actually a little before my time, too. Fortunately, my parents were fans.

I listened to her with ears and no voice. Ears with no sound, and that was the best!
Carol was funny on her TV show back in the late 60 s till 1978 ! I watched her show from 1966 till it ended in 1978 !
I only missed 1 show during the 11 yr. run but fortunately was able to catch it during the summer reruns!!
I only missed one of her shows too, during her 11 years on TV. It was an episode with Sammy Davis Jr. as a guest star, with a sketch where he returned to his hometown and was met by a bigoted resident played by Carol Burnett. I wish TH-cam had the episode of that show so I could watch it.

Loved her show as a child from 10 thru my mid-teens. I strongly believe she was responsible for my ability to make people laugh. I emulated her nuttiness because I loved her shows much!
love watching Carol Burnett again in "Better Call Saul"! She hasn't lost her comedic touch one bit!

The shows of these times and before was where true comedy comes from unlike most of the junk they call "comedy" now days.
The GREATEST Variety Show ever! I never missed it--I think it ran at 10 PM on Monday nights on CBS. I KNOW it was CBS because that was also the acronym for her show!

Perfect example of the genius of Carol Burnett. The actual script isn’t funny at all. But when Harvey asks, “What were you like before?” and she says, “Sober!” it all changes. Hilarious!

I love watching this show but it’s not funny rotflmao funny, it’s just barely crack a smile funny. Which is fine with me. Still a good show
I know the chicken isn't real...but I always cringe when cooking show hosts handle raw meat and don't wash their hands. I can't enjoy the show, as I watch them touching everything around them...with raw meat juice on their hands. 🤢
Just hope the amount of alcohol disinfects everything. 😁
