    Have driven SEATs for 15 years and love them. Only downside is awful dealers so all my maintenance and servicing is done by Skoda so only need to go near a SEAT dealer in the rare occasion of a warranty claim

    I like the car! I ordered one in SamoaOrange full option, but with manual gear (i like to shift). I bought it with a diesel 2l. 150HP. Can't wait :-D

    The look of the rear end, and the styling line down the side are pure Skoda to me - maybe it was supposed to be a Yeti replacement but at the last minute VW gave it to Seat as they hadn't had anything new for a while....

    I think the Qashqai has more appeal in terms of interior and exterior, it just has a bit more of a quality feel to is, although I've not had chance to get my hands on one of these yet so my opinion may change.

    Good, but doesn't look close to Kodiaq or 3008.
    Its only chance is if it is significantly cheaper.

    • @jamesgordon783
      @jamesgordon783 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      it is significantly cheaper, and lots of car websites have crowned it the class leader

      Look better than Kodiaq and is a different size range. Peugeot is ugly as every French car.

    • @sbomorse
      @sbomorse 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      It is the class leader... for now. The Kodiaq will be the new class favourite when it's released.

      I think Peugeot is only a urban moré tall, i saw this car leading puré 4x4 cars in the field near my house.

      It's a dsg and it's great!

      Hi John. I drove the DSG auto on the launch of the Ateca and it is great, climbs through gears seamlessly. The DSG can be a bit unpredictable on some VW Group models. I've driven them in Skodas before and really not liked them, but it's spot on in the Ateca.

      I have a 68 plate Excellence 1.4 tsi DSG and it's excellent.

    Would you recommend the LED lights for this car or are they not really worth the extra cash?

    • @sbomorse
      @sbomorse 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The LED lights fantastic and definitely worth the extra! They're much, much brighter than halogens, whiter than xenons and even more energy efficient.

    • @S7StudioElfPaladin

      Seat's LED Lights are very cheap compared to premium brands, definitely worth getting. I have Xenon + LEDS on my Ibiza 2012 and ordered full LED on my new Leon FR. Totally worth it!

    will you be reviewing the new MG GS crossover soon?

  • @runawayronnie

    Slightly misleading info in the review, that driving style selector switch isn't available on SE and above if you opt for the 1.0tsi engine.
    Going for a test drive later this week but looking at the online configurator, there's a weird mix of options on the Ateca. The reviewer is correct to say that Navigation is a £525 option on the SE model, but that's what you have to order if you want DAB radio. It's 2017 - why don't these cars come with DAB as standard? (like all it's rivals)
    And if you want flat load bay (like all it's rivals) that costs £115 extra. And the option of a heated windscreen isn;t available on 1.0tsi engine. (what's the engine got to do with a heated windscreen?) Even more weird is SEAT's decision to offer auto only on the most expensive 2.0tdi 4x4 which will probably be the lowest selling model. SEAT must be loosing sales by not offering auto on the bread and butter models.

      runawayronnie that's now changed as you can get DSG on the 1.4 TSI which is a little annoying as I purchased a manual in October but would have preferred an Automatic. I've got an Xcellence so I don't need to worry about Sat Nav or DAB but it is a poor show that DAB isn't standard and you can't specify it without Sat Nav.

    This will compete well with the Kodiaq. But something tells me that the Kodiaq will edge past it.

    • @CarKeysUKOfficial
      @CarKeysUKOfficial  8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It definitely could Vaibhav - but we're mightily impressed with the Ateca so it should take some beating. Especially at the standard price.

      Kodiaq will be more expensive, bigger, and not so good to drive, so I don't see it as a direct competitor.

    I'd much rather have a golf.

    • @stephenwakeman3074
      @stephenwakeman3074 8 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      The Golf is not the same car class. As stated the Ateca is analogous to the Tiguan within the VAG lineup.

    • @doctormac123
      @doctormac123 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes but there similar in size

      Because they're built on the same MQB platform. But one is an SUV and the other is a small family hatch. Two different markets.
