It's very different and logical truth, Thanks for this knowledge.
Most of the topics discussed in this interview is only heard issues but not direct experienced. This book is only written based mostly on heard from 3rd persons. If you look into detail, Only hindu rights are discussed in detail in this interview. Looks like the interviewer has a phobia only on hinduism. We just need to presume the book is right about other religious rights. Infact there was not much of effort made on other religions.

Thankyou so much for this educational video on death and the related burial rites. I find it interesting that in India there are so many burial ways. However, in Kerala among the Christians the whole death and related thing is done by the priests and its the same for men, women and children. Also, there is a family tomb and all the members of that same family is buried in the same tomb for generations and so the space is not lost when someone in the family dies as no need to dig a new burial place for them. Plus it is not needed for people to show others that they are mourning by literal crying as it is understood that people mourn in different ways. Moreover, among Syrian Orthodox Christians the mourning period lasts for 40 days and every year the family members come together at the death anniversary to offer prayers. Hence, death is an interesting subject in every community I think.
It was interesting to know about different types of rituals about different communities.

I fail to understand, why the interviewers is trying to divide by repeatedly mentioning there is different space for different caste. He cannot make such statement without naming such cremation grounds.

@ I think you are misinformed. Muslims do not have separate burial grounds. And all have the same way to be prepared for burial.
Just an info. Famous Sufi Bullay Shah was prepared,for burial by the kinnar and also the jinazah prayer was led by a kinnar

Am I only one who feels that this lady has not done any research and all her stories are just heresay? She is quoting movie as evidence, she is the who believes Mughal e azam is our real history!! She is so biased against Hindus, no where I heard her quoting Gadud puran, which inspite of being twisted, says that girls can do last rites of parents, even the wife can preform last rites. She didn't even know the names of the angles who comes in Muslims Graves to take an account. Even the Parisi last rites She didn't explain correctly. Total waste of time.

there may be exceptions but generally there is no discrimination in performing last rites. asking for caste and region it is basically to extract money.

डरते बच्चे हैं तो बचपना तुममें है। मैं तो time पास के लिए अक्सर हफ्ते में एक से दो बार प्रयागराज रसूलाबाद घाट जाता हूं जहां गंगा जी किनारे शव जलाए जा रहे होते हैं,मुझे कोई भय नहीं होता और न ही वहां आए हुए लोगों मे भय देखा कुछ साथ आए लोग तो वहीं मजाक भी कर हंस भी रहे होते हैं ।
बार बार देखोगे तो डर खत्म हो जाएगा और खुद पर घमंड कभी नहीं होगा। चरित्र में विनम्रता स्वतः आ जाती है। क्योंकि खुद की भी असली औकात सामने दिख रही होती है एक इंसान के रूप में।

The interviewer comes with pre-conceived notions. The Casteism is not only in Hinduism but these social hierarchy or groupism is in different religions like Islam, Christians, Sikhism etc. The naming of this hierarchy or groupism is different in different religions. Unfortunate thing is only Hinduism is highlighted soon we hear the name casteism.
