More like Montana 2.0 or Young 2.0. Brady is not mobile. Purdy can rush the ball like a RB. Brady type QBs will not dominate in the future. To compete in the modern NFL, teams have to have mobile QBs like Mahomes, Allen, Herbert, Hurts or Jackson.
My only concern with Purdy is his arm strength. That throw to CMC was not the strongest. However, the 49ers didn't have a deep ball threat game before Purdy. They just have Aiyuk.
he played football ALL FOUR of his college years. consider his last 1-2 years as g-league/minors practice for PURDY. and that got him better prepared to play in the NFL.

I think the way they evaluate QBs is completely wrong. The big, strong, fast QB who can throw 80 yards just doesn't translate into a good QB. It's a unique position. Athleticism isn't that important and that's all these teams want.
