Mt. Fuji fifth station 2024

Fuji fifth station parking lot is called the border between heaven and earth and is located at the forest limit line. It is also lined with many stores and is open from mid-April to mid-December, depending on the operating conditions of the Fuji Subaru Line.
Please use it as a base for easy sightseeing at the fifth station or as a starting point for climbing Fuji in summer (July 1 to mid-September).
There is a red torii gate by the store at the fifth station roundabout. Ko-omitake Shrine is located behind the torii and is dedicated to Banagahime-no-Mikoto (sister of Kihanasakuyahime). Beside the shrine, there is an observatory where you can see the sunrise and look down on Lake Yamanaka. Also, there is a Katsunogi, a tree on the roof of the shrine, which is believed to bring people together.
